The better question is why would Spence waste his time waiting on someone he knows is laser-focused on Khan? By February next year, which is the time Brook is supposed to decide whether to give up his belt or not, Spence would be six months inactive. He doesn't seem to mind. Typical Haymon attitude.

Any news about Spence's move knowing that Brook refocused his sights on Khan? Why is he so passive? Why is he willing to go through months and months of inactivity?

This is not normal. Others would be fuming mad and try to exert pressure on Brook and insist on getting answers on what he is going to do with his belt. He can then move on and start looking for meaningful opposition.

Brook has a mando next. The mando is Spence. If Brook signs to fight Khan, the IBF may strip him. If that happens then Spence will fight the top available contender for the belt. If Brook isnt stripped then Spence will make a fight.

How do you know what he is doing behind the scenes to make the fight happen?

Brook is desperate to avoid Spence two losses back to back and he'll be regarded no higher than Kevin Mitchell back home, the stadium fight with Khan will disappear.

          Brook vs Spence aint happening.

            Big duck lol.

You might think this and 30 posters might think this as well, but 1million times more people want to see him vs Khan over spence so it doesn't really matter.

Beating Spence is more impressive and important than beating Khan.

I doubt a lot of people want to see Brook vs Khan....that's a **** fight.

What matters is that Spence is Brook's mandatory. So he needs to fight Spence or else hand over the belt like a good boy.

I think Brook-Khan happens next. The IBF usually stick to their rules, so would be Spence vs another contender for the vacant title.
