Yeah and Floyd was carefully picking his shots against Sharmba because Sharmba has no chin and is hittable. With Hatton's workrate, a couple of those punches would have landed and TKO'd Mitchell. Mitchell is the only person who thought he'd be Floyd. This guy has clearly had his brains scrambled.

Also, if mitchell boxed, he could have been succesful, but if he brawled it would be a differnt story.
Theres really no way to tell.

I gotta give my honest opinion on this fight, and i'm gonna put it as simple as possible. Collazo landed cleaner more effective shots all night long, Hatton was agressive, but he wasn't effectivly agressive(he landed very few clean shots). it was a very close fight Hatton got the decision, i still think Collazo won the fight. Am I the only one who's noticing that the Champ(Hopkins/Collazo) doesn't get the benefit of the doubt anymore, if there is an up and coming young star, undefeated they don't gotta do much to take the belt from someone(when in my opinion if they dont win decisivly, and it's that close, the belt should not change hands). hopkins & Collazo said the exact same thing after those fights(he didn't do enough to take my belt) and i gotta agree with them, i guess it's just the politics of boxing; making sure that the next star becomes the next star. I gotta say though that if Hatton would have attacked the body more, we might have seen a different outcome, and Hatton needs to cut down on the clinching, what i saw was 1,2 grab, push him off 1,2(or 1,2 grab with the left and throw a right), I really dont see how Hatton fans can say Collazo was clinching more then Hatton, he was clinching but not more, He was fighting Hattons fight and he was winning, but it was too close to say that anyone was robbed or something like that. All i know is i cant wait for the rematch, I'll be happy tosee Collazo knocked to the canvas, or Hatton impressivly beat.

I personally saw Hatton winning a close decision, but I guess everyone has their own view of the fight. What I dont understand is this "he didnt do enough to take my belt" - he won on points on all three judges cards - that to me is a win, why should a current champ get a benefit of the doubt? I say he didnt do enough to keep his belt - but heh, what do I know I dont post that often.

Collazo didn't deserve those Champion Rights. Comparing him to Hopkins is silly. Collazo just won a vacated paper title, that doesn't make him a Champion.

The judges probably based it on aggression, but like i said it wasn't effective, you can honestly tell me that Hatton landed cleaner more effextive punches then Collazo? cause i didn't see that many. Hopkins landed with a better percentage against Taylor, but the judges scored for Taylor. Personally I dont let the judges tell me who won, i use my eyes(hence the name). Why should champs get the benefit, well maybe i'm being unrealistic(& I'm not comparing Hopkins to Collazo but they both faught hard),but in this fight i think Collazo did more then enough to keep his belt, it just seems to me that the powers that be want to push some fighter along because they're marketable & have an entertaining style, at least that's how i feel about the Hatton/Taylor fight, imagine if Hatton lost where would that have left him in the welterweight division, or with american fans. what if hopkins would have won, we'd have a 41 year old retired middleweight legend & no champ now, but hey it 1am and i'm probably on some ol' X files type ****

JuiceJuice where did you get the info Hatton had to eat 7 meals a day to keep the weight on, so he could fight at 140. Because its abvious Hatton walks around a lot heavier than this in between fights!!!

This fight was bull****. Collazo won that fight. I had it 115-113 for Collazo. The 12th round Ricky was out! Ricky never hurt Collazo BADLY! Like Ricky was in the 12th. Ricky was 158 that night and Collazo 156. You know Hatton is suppose to be 40-1-0 right now. Those judges were unexpierienced. Atleast the judge with that judged 25 championship bouts scored it 114-113. It was a close fight. But i think Collazo proved that he has what it takes. I know alot of you thought Hatton would KO him in like 6 or so. The 1st knock down was legit but he was off balance. Hatton got lucky.
