2017- Can Keith Thurman become a superstar?

As the title states. Would beating danny garcia turn him into a big star attraction in america? If not, what would he need to do to become one of the household names in boxing to casuals?
To me it seems as if this guy should be a superstar sooner than later, as he has the charisma, the skills and an exciting fighting style. He is also lucky in that he fights (in my opinion) in the most stacked division in boxing so there is ample opportunity for big fights.
Also, where would people rank him pound for pound if he beats danny garcia? I think that win would clearly establish him as the number 1 at welterweight for the time being.
Who would people like to see him fight after garcia? How do people see him getting on against the other top names at welterweight? e.g spence, bradley, crawford(when he moves up), pacquiao etc. Or is garcia going to pull the upset and derail his plans?
    Please discuss

I think beating Garcia makes him a mini superstar, Garcia been in the ring with a lot of big names, he's a big draw and beating him would take Thurman's star power to the next level

It's rough. The fact that his Porter fight had such a build-up and anticipation, and still did slightly less than Guerrero/Garcia is disheartening. I thought he could or should be a "next big thing" but they aren't getting his face out there, aren't building a character.

There's several guys that should be getting turned into stars and I feel as if the promoters are just telling them, "Ok, now you go get it!", rather than building stars like they used to. HBO still does this to an extent but they can only do so much.

yeah, i think thats it, its not that thurmans boring or anything cause he comes across well in his interviews and is eloquent, its just that we dont hear enough about him. I think the garcia v thurman match up could do with a bit of bad blood and trash talking to get even more people interested, with two american unbeaten fighters it should be a huge fight, it shouldnt be like a ward v kovalev where it was more of a fan for the supposed hardcore fans.

Im not sure about him. My initial thought was that he is fairly entertaining but the more i see him, I feel like he he hasnt found his identity in the ring.. he is a runner-boxer puncher and hit or miss fighter.

If he beats Garcia and Spence in impressive manners, i dont why he cant become a real star...

Not sure to be honest, he really doesnt have a great personality or a great backstory that i am aware of...Plus it is not like he does anything special in the ring...He can become an accomplished fighter but i just dont see the makings of a superstar to be honest..WHAT WOULD BE THE DRAW??

People don't give 1 time enough credit he's not the most skilled technician out there but he gets the job done. Porter fight is the second best fight of the year after Vargas solido too, and when he beats Garcia he has to be considered a superstar, depending on how he wins he will be in my top 5 p4p.
