He's mando now, not a title holder... He has to go by the rules if he wants it ... Also, prior to the Ward fight, GYM had been his cash cow for a couple years... He'd be foolish to be a diva and spit on the opportunity once again may it happen...

Duva demanded a #1 ranking for Adonis' WBC belt and a purse bid.

      She was granted both....then ran.

Did you see how fast Kovalev jumped out of the ring when Stevenson stepped to him?

He bolted from his own post fight interview..leaving Stevenson with the mic

Yeah, yeah ... we know... Boone dropped Kovalev multiple times ... bounced him off the canvas like a rubber ball .. and he only dropped Stevenson once. But there you go... If a guy has a sleep button on his chin, once is all it takes.

You seem to be a little confused. Kovalev isn't Stevenson's mando and he has a contract to fight Ward next. He won't be thinking about anything else till that's sorted out, one way or another.

Might be a dry and lean year for him then ... He can always call GYM when he feels ready or hungry ...

Supes needs to step on the gas and demand his promoters to make the fight between himself and Ward!

Kovalev should face Beterbiev and winner gets the winner of Ward vs Stevenson

            SOG vs Superman

There is no such thing as 'asking for a purse bid'. As far as I'm aware, the belt org sets a deadline for negotiations, at which point if there is no agreement, the belt org will order a purse bid to take place.

In addition, there is not even one article I have read where Duva has shown any intention to negotiate. Every time she opens her trap she is giving out an ultimatum and pretending that it is a negotiation.

'50/50 split on HBO, take it or leave it!"

That's what she always says and unless you're an idiot, then you should know that there is no world where someone gives you a take it or leave it ultimatum from the get go and you can call that a 'negotiation'.

Secondly, being an HBO fighter is totally irrelevant when it comes to purse bids, that is exactly what purse bids are there for, to solve all of these network and purse disputes.

#1 - you don't have your facts straight.

#2 - there's no reason to be so rude.

main events put kovalev in the mandatory position to gain leverage with HBO and secure kovalev a more lucrative television contract.

when kovalev became the mandatory, his contract with HBO had expired. putting pressure on HBO to give him a great deal or risk him jumping to showtime to face stevenson. the plan worked. HBO showed main events the money and kovalev pulled out of the purse bid and resigned with HBO.

it's very clear who ducked this fight. the guy who vacated his WBC title and refused to participate in the purse bid. not the guy who kept his WBC title and agreed to participate in the purse bid.

but the majority of posters on this board are of such low intelligence that they are easily brainwashed by HBO propaganda.

if promoters don't believe a deal can be reached, they can inform the sanctioning body that negotiations have ceased and request that the purse bid be held ASAP. happens all the time.

All the time? Lol, who else has had that happen to them?

And if what you say is true, then why is it a problem that Stevenson did it? Has Duva showed you any intention to negotiate or has she just run to the press with an ultimatum under the pretense of negotiating?

Upon today’s announcement that Valuev-Chagaev II has been canceled, Team Ruiz is demanding an immediate purse bid

                      http://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/i...eads-purse-bid

Duva asked for the purse bid immediately to secure her fighter's position. Had she not, Fury could have asked the IBF for an exception to fight an optional defense before the mandatory bout.

"But once we asked for the immediate purse bid, it is no longer possible [under IBF rules] for the Fury people to ask for a special exception, so that was a tactical move," Duva said. "I am protecting my fighter's position."

However, on Thursday the IBF said Hearn wrote to the organization saying he was no longer willing to negotiate the fight and asking for an immediate purse bid, which is allowable under IBF rules.

                      http://www.espn.com/blog/dan-rafael/...-bid-on-dec-18

Now that the IBF has ordered Glazkov-Charles Martin for the vacant title and Martin’s camp asked for an immediate purse bid -- rather than waiting the usual 30-day negotiating period -- the IBF announced it is scheduled for Dec. 18 at noon ET at the IBF office in Springfield, New Jersey.

                      http://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/i...cruz-purse-bid

Eric Gomez said that he could not get Zanfer to negotiate with him so he asked the organization to order an immediate purse bid.

After Amir Khan’s ridiculous demands have frustrated all the efforts to reach an agreement and especially since he is tired of all the lies that Khan himself and his team have told to the media and boxing fans in the last few weeks, last night Marcos Maidana requested the World Boxing Association (WBA) to immediately call the fight to a Purse Bid.

                      https://www.*************.com/thread...p-13th.339655/

According to a letter the IBF sent to its registered promoters, Golden Boy -- Mares' promoter -- is "unwilling to participate in the negotiations [with Don King, Agbeko's promoter]. They are requesting an immediate purse bid."

                      http://www.thesweetscience.com/artic...nt-rule-of-all

Salas close the letter stating that the promoters of the two fighters, Berman and Don King [Brewster's promoter] "Must inform WBO if they wish to negotiate within a 30-day period or go to an immediate Purse Bid."
