In the whole world there are 9 total loyal Ward Trolls who hate GGG. And they will all comment here. Simple fact is that if anyone is lying it is Ward.Ward called out GGG one hour after it was announced that GGG had a contract to fight Lemieux.....this can be checked out for a fact in the transcripts……second of all GGG's team had been trying to come to an agreement for two years with Ward....the problem was first Ward was in trouble with law suits with Goossen...they were suing each other....Goosen won the lawsuit three times.....then Ward signed with Roc Nation....the first thing Roc Nation said was that Ward needed two tune up fights before they would let Ward fight GGG...then Ward fought one fight at 172 pounds....GGG and his team got tired of waiting for Andre Ward to make up his mind what he wanted to do...then look at the numbers....Ward fought in his own home town and he could not put 4000 people in the arena....Ward fought at the Citizens centre and there were only 3000 people....every single word I have put here can be checked out by anybody simply by looking at the transcripts....and if that is not enough for you then here is a video by Tom Loeffler.....either Loeffler is lying or Ward is lying....only problem with that is that the transcripts will back up Loeffler and not Ward.. Besides Ward don't want nothing to do with GGG as you can tell from this quote from Andre Ward himself. '"Golovkin might hit a tad bit harder than Chavez Sr, and I think defensively he's a lot better.Golovkin's not a one trick pony, and that's what I think people are kinda missing here as they talk so much about the power, but he's got subtle defense, he's doing a lot of things in there that is allowing him to not take too much punishment." -- Andre "S.O.G." Ward educating casuals on how GGG is better both on offence AND defense than one of the best boxer punchers ever, making GGG perhaps THE best

They can go back and forth all they want with he said/she said. Bottum line is if the fight was at 168 GGG would have a LOSS! And knew their best and only chance of winning was a CW. Kovalov was HUGE compared to Ward and couldn't KO Ward.

Loeffler is a terrible negotiator. just absolutely horrible. I'm a huge GGG fan but this dude is a ****ing dolt.

just admit it, you said 164 50/50. this is documented. but at the time it was fair because Ward was the #1 at 168 while GGG was #1 at 160. nothing wrong with that offer.

But he has to tuck his **** like a cuckold

GGGoons, why are you guys POS?

why do you guys swallow everything GGG and his team say?

if GGG came out and said IM gay and I do drugs and PEDs, the GGG fans would be like "not true, its a publicity stunt, we know GGG better than he knows himself"

****** scumbags, you fa9s and the pac-tards both need to be put on a rocket ship headed for the sun.

I wouldn't say it was a duck because their in different Weight classes BUT from the looks of things Golovkin hasn't gotten Canelo or Cotto ijs He got Wade and a WW .Now let's say he would have taken the Ward fight and won ? That'd be a HUGE statement and Leverage in Negotiations with GBP for the Canelo fight. Even a loss wouldn't have hurt him imo

GGG's team asked for 164 because they knew Ward would never try to make that weight, or that even if he did that he'd most likely be much weaker as a result.
the problem with your theory is that GGGs team never actually asked for 164. As a matter of fact, they never officially asked for anything. There was an expression of interest from GGGs team a few years back that Ward quickly passed on, and an expression of interest last year from Ward that GGGs team quickly passed on, but there has never been any real back-and-forth negotiations between the 2 en******. Yes, Ward sent over the infamous "50-50 in a year or so" offer, but it was never countered by K2 with any terms

Note: A few comments here and there to the media does not constitute and actual contract demand.

May weather held multiple titles at 154... Context is everything.... If GGG went up and beat Degale at 168, held that title and another one then made Ward go down 2 lbs for no reason then it would be the Mayweather-Canelo situation...

May just needs every single advantage going into a fight he can get to sway everything in his favor apparently

None of this is even a topic of discussion if they never come out with the "anyone from 154 to 168" garbage.

This, when they have insisted on every fight they have had taking place at 160.

It's easy to call someone a duck, but it's like some of those doing so don't listen too closely to what folks say.

If some cat says "I can whup you on the street, I can whup you in my house, and I can whup you in your house"...then I invite him to my house to fight and he declines...he's ducking me.

Perhaps you should familiarize yourself with the word "hyperbole".

And since when does the fact that a trainer (along with alot of other people) thinks that his fighter could beat any fighter between 154 and 168, suddenly mean that every single fight between 154 and 168 is magically makeable, and should be immediately made at terms most favorable to the opponent?

you guys are something else. Its good that none of you actually represent fighters, because it was obviously someone like you that told Chad Dawson that fighting Ward at 168 was a great idea so no need to negotiate further.

Ahhhh, I think I know where the word "hype" comes from.

And if that was all it was it would be no problem.

But, that wasn't all it was.

And it wasn't just Abel Sanchez but Lil g AND Loeffler saying anyone from 154 to 168.

It was all three of them saying it and it was Loeffler, his promotor saying he was looking for fights in ALL those weights.

And from what I understand about Chad Dawson, it was Chad himself who thought he could do that. I would have never suggested he do that and certainly not against the best supermiddleweight in the world, a guy who had walked thru some of the most dangerous punchers at 168. What the hell was a drained Chad going to do to him?

Truth is, they did pop all that nonsense but when it came to actually making fights it seemed they wanted catchweights for not just Ward but others.

It actually makes sense that the Canelo fight didn't happen.
Lil g and Loeffler did what they always have done...balked at a catchweight they said he can make- only that would have been the biggest fight of his life.
