They should tell Canelo to go fight a tougher opponent in BJS for a lot less money.

Jfc man. What is boxing becoming in this post-Floyd/Manny era?
For all the **** some cats give or gave to Floyd &/or Manny about their alleged cherry picking Canelo & Oscar have taken things to a new low with fighting bs ass "contenders" & then trying to bargain bin mfers or tell them to go f#ck themselves for some other bs guy. Well I guess in this case Canelo & Oscar are teasing Chavez with fighting a real or realer opponent, BJS (despite his recent performance) & Cotto (whos pinky finger has done more than Chavez Jr in boxing), if Chavez doesn't accept a deal which arguably doesn't reflect the value he has in this bout in the asses in seats, PPV buys department.

Anything with GBP & Canelo is on some other plain of reality since all this WBC/GGG stuff starting coming into play. Its like they are competing in some other type of boxing or under some other ranking system then everyone else is seeing or understanding of who a top talent should be fighting. James Kirkland, Amir Khan, Liam Smith & now potentially Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Wtf man this **** is nuts. Its like Canelo's career is on cruise control for the last 2yrs or whatever.

I think Jr. will sign soon. He is just holding out to get the best possible deal but no way he walks away from this one. He will lose badly but will make 10 times what he is worth.
The BJS mano was to give Canelo leverage against BBB side. When they finally come to the table they can take the offer given or Canelo will fight BJS in September for his strap.

It's not Canelo. It's his cheap promoter Oscar with his low ball flat rate offer that GGG refused. That lousy offer will likely be refuse by Chavez and rightfully so considering Canelo will probably make about 3 or 4 times that much. As with GGG something like a 60/40 or 65/35 split in Canelo's favor would be fair and get the fight done. GGG and Chavez are the only huge money fights for Canelo. Cotto will never fight Canelo again.

Why would Chavez take 6 million flat fee bucks and watch Canelo make perhaps 5 times that much? I am a big Canelo fan and will be rooting for him if this fight does happen. Oscar is a serious cheapskate when it comes to offering fighters what they are worth.

There is no real way to tell how fair this offer is with out knowing what percentage of PPV Jr gets. It's worth noting that PPV upside is not the Same as PPV split. PPV upside means there is no guarantee in the amount of money from PPV Chavez would get, nor if he would get any at all, while PPV split guarantees a percentage of PPV revenue after the required parties have taken their portion. So is it 6 mil with PPV upside, or 6 mil with PPV split?

A win over Charlo would build so much excitement for the GGG fight. Chavez will be a big fight, but it's almost not even a real fight, more circus attraction.
