He already explained it. Because the fights will generate more money the second time around, therefore the fighters deserve more money. I don't know how much simpler that can be explained.

Because you make more money in the rematch not the third fight because beating them again and there's a good chance there's not going to be a third fight. Losing in the rematch there might be a trilogy but now the winner of the rematch gets more money. Pac-JMM is an exception
