Gamboa is/was a great talent, but imo Loma always gonna be a very tough match up for him. Yuri won't surprise Loma with his speed and power, on the other hand he has defensive flaws and too undisciplined in the ring. I will take Loma by TKO/UD anytime. Great fight anyway.

Loma is too pillow fisted to TKO Gamboa.

Even if Gamboa is rusty will still be a tough fight for Loma and a prepare with a couple of tuneup Gamboa is game over for Loma. At 130 Gamboa speed, power and pedigree is way too much.

Pattern? Let's see, Lomachenko fought for the WBO Featherweight title 5 times in a row and the WBO Super Featherweight title back to back all of which he's defeated soundly. Meanwhile Salido has gone 0-1-2 in his last three fights, 2 draws and a loss. But somehow you insist Lomachenko fight Salido who by your account, only fights boxers who recently looked bad.

then loma fights walters off a year layoff bc walters wanted a more fair deal...and he was right..their hbo numbers did 700k views...if there are real A side fighters fightin on hbo without competition THEY DO WAY MORE THAN THAT...it was a classic low ball and wait out technique...

If you think Martinez and Vargas were close then you know very well the overweight, constant low blow Salido lost to Lomachenko. Salido not winning against Martinez or Vargas is suddenly robbed but when Lomachenko was robbed, Salido beat him. This is why you're incapable of an unbiased opinion and a casual fan at best. A prime and/or prepared Gamboa would have made this a spectacular fight. At this point I have to pick Lomachenko in this match-up. Yuri needs at least two fights to even look good versus Lomo. His last scheduled bout (this month) fell through under bizarre circumstances. He needs time to prepare, or Vasyl will make him look silly. On the other hand, if Gamboa manages to pull himself together, he might become relevant again. Arum is talking "early 2017." I like this fight for late summer/early fall.

I'm a Lomachenko fan and I may be a little biased from time to time, but I also try to be realistic.
And he won't get credit from me if he fights Gamboa next. That fight would be pointless if it happens next. Gamboa has actually been inactive. Walters was fighting, but he was just inactive for 11 months before the Loma fight. Why can't Loma get any credit for that fight, but other fighters get credit for beating older fighters that have been inactive for over a year; sometimes even close to two years?
Walters could have fought Loma earlier in the year but he didn't accept. Weren't you one of the people that said Loma was scared of Walters and Loma didn't want to fight him? Well, you got what you wanted and now can't give Loma a little bit of credit, at least?
They should let Gamboa have a little comeback then people may get interested in a fight between them.

And I don't think Loma is "avoiding" Salido. I wouldn't be surprised if it's just a strategy to let Salido know that they can fight somebody else if they don't accept. Salido wants a lot of money for the rematch. I think they should just give Salido good money. If Loma doesn't fight Salido he will look bad not Salido.
Klimas is the one making it difficult, along with the Salido team. Klimas can be a stubborn.
