I respect Duva's decision, and no, HBO did not come out and say what you're implying. As for Kovalev/Stevenson, it will happen within a year or two, if it's going to happen at all. Neither fighter will have an easy evening, and it will be a great fight. But of the two, I have no issue saying Stevenson is more afraid of the matchup than Kovalev.

I respect Duva's decision, and no, HBO did not come out and say what you're implying. As for Kovalev/Stevenson, it will happen within a year or two, if it's going to happen at all. I stand by what I said. And BTW, there's a difference between 'Stevenson would likely be outboxed by Ward' and Ward easily beating Stevenson. As for Russell/Loma on Showtime, that doesn't negate Duva's decision to not mess with the HBO contract. It was her decision, a safe one. Just because another promoter(s) decided on a different route, that doesn't make her decision less a valid one. She isn't as reckless as many promoters in taking chances. It's her management style. Nothing wrong with that.

Ward or Kovalev would beat Stevenson and make it look easy at this point I think.

Stevenson beat the shell of Chad Dawson and the dude, lets be honest, has 1 punch.

Anybody remembers Kovalev was a free agent after the first Pascal fight ? Stevenson/Kovalev fight was in the air. Could have been easy then but politics once again did their job.
