This wouldn't be an issue had Main Events followed through with the Stevenson vs. Kovalev fight! They pulled a b*tch move, and now here we are. I would love to see Ward vs. Stevenson before a Kovalev rematch, with Kovalev fighting the winner!

Main Events didn't want to risk their exclusive HBO contract. I don't blame them.

Stevenson would likely be outboxed by Ward, but flat out stopped early by Kovalev. In fact, IMO the faster that Stevenson would start up throwing bombs... the faster he'd get dropped and stopped. I think Sergey learned his lesson vs Ward. I doubt he holds back any more. But yeah, let there be a Ward/Stevenson after Kovalev stops Ward.

ward beat a drained unhealthy dawson.its not something to brag about either

he asked for the weight.....dawson was a prospect there before he moved up...often weighed a few pounds below the 175 limit....he called him out at 168 so once you sign all the built in excuses go out the window. He thought he'd be ok, so thats on him .

HBO said they were fine with the purse bid..that excuse it out the window..they saw a safer future in soft punching ward..they knew that he was going to be forced to 175...and now look at their karma...kovalev lost his belts for 2 million...and the purse bid was rumored to fetch about 10 million from haymon..

pascal is the only person that stevenson told no...and the fans supported pascal acting as if he was the champion asking for even or larger purses than the champ...nobody said pascal is irrelevant..but that's all his fights have showed for 3 years now.
