Yes but Canelo is not staying at 154 anymore it's time for him to move up and stop bullying ppl at 154 because that is not weight he belongs at. He belongs at 160 the least he can't ever make that weight and has had to pay fighters off on the side so they don't back out like he did wit Angulo. I don't look at Ronnie Shields as the reason for Charlo's success. Jermall is an extraordinary talent that would be great regardless. Shields was inadequate at times with prime Cintron. I bet if Charlo was offered the Triple G fight he would sign it. He's ready. He needs to stay active and try to fight in his MW debut in March to put pressure on a showdown.

Because, business for business, Alvarez merits a 4:1 split on the fight, at the least. To simply try to argue that since Floyd and Pacquiao split their fight 60/40, 60/40 is now the default is foolish.

People **** on it now, but the 90/10 (with Alvarez giving Golovkin the full 6lbs) offer originally mentioned, from a business perspective, is about where the split, on a percentage basis, should actually be (with Golovkin's percentage moving up a couple points for every pound he's willing to come down).

If Golovkin/K2 are ready to take the event on a 10% share with Golovkin not having to give up weight, great.

Golovkin's camp have said that he'd be able to make 154 with no issue (with his camp and his fanbase pushing this nonsense about Golovkin being a "small middleweight"); with their actions otherwise, it is fair to say that that camp talk was bull****.

That's most certainly what he shouldn't do. You don't want to trade with someone like Golovkin. Something I've noticed about Danny is his punches tend to get sloppy when he's on the attack (watch how sloppy he is attacking Quillin). And Golovkin, when he decides to do so, is great at picking shots off with his elbows and also having his right hand in perfect position to block (i.e. the exchange of left hooks with Lemieux in round 4). Standing there and exchanging with GGG will get Jacobs knocked out sooner.

I respect your opinion, even though I may not agree with it. Golovkin is like a locomotive; An irresistible force who only knows how to fight one way and that is off his front foot. Jacobs is going to have to put some serious leather and hurt on him in order to slow him down by making him think twice by rushing in. If Jacobs doesn't catch him often and frequently enough with hard power punches, then Gennady is only going to get stronger as the fight progresses.

Gennady doesn't like to get hit. He often freezes up once his opponents unleash an offensive assault on him. As was the case with Willie Monroe, Jr. and Kell Brook. Their mistake was going into the fight to attempt to out box, survive and last the distance against GGG by running away from him which got them both knocked out. One have to stand their ground against a bully slugger like Golovkin, if they are planning on being successful or stand any chance of winning against him.
