You've got no clue. Rigondeaux would have speed and footwork advantages over Canelo too. And? Khan's only chance was to run and pitter patter for 12 rounds.
This was reflected in the odds as I recall.

When the odds are released for the Jacobs GGG fight, wise up, have a look at them, and then put your thinking hat on.

Golovkin is favorite but I will be very surprised if he gets Jacobs out of there early and I won't be shocked if Jacobs wins either. Surprised but not shocked. Khan beating Canelo would have been a massive shock.

I would be extremely shocked if Jacobs is to make it 12 rounds with Golovkin, Jacobs has just as bad a chin as Khan, except I don't think he can take punches from a guy like Maidana like Khan did

Fine that you see it that way but Canelo did beat Shane Mosley and Miguel Cotto.

The fact that Kell Brook was able to put hands on Golovkin and draw a reaction gives me the sense that Golovkin isn't going to just be able to walk through the shots coming in by Jacobs without getting slept.

Whether I'd call it "momentum" or not, Golovkin doesn't hit hard enough to put anyone out with a single shot. Rather than eliminator power, like Randall Bailey, Deontay Wilder, Adonis Stevenson, Anthony Joshua, etc, Golovkin's power is like a baseball bat. The first shot's not going to do it, it's usually that 8th, 9th, 10th shot that puts things in real trouble.

If it comes down to a straight boxing match, I don't see Golovkin being able to outbox Jacobs, tbh.

I agree that the next guy that comes to mind is Lemieux as far as an opponent with a big punch. Lemieux couldn't box and he couldn't find a way past GGG's jab.

Jacobs is much better equipped to get past that jab and get some work done. I think once GGG gets warm he's willing to take shots while cutting off the ring and doing work. It will be telling whether GGG still comes forward all night or not, there is real danger against Jacobs.

I think what you're getting at is that Jacobs has much more twitch to his reflexes than GGG does. But I don't confuse that with overall power. Jacobs has high twitch and speed, which generates the kind of killshot that dumped Quillin to the mat. It's deadly, no doubt.

But I'm still inclined to think GGG has the harder, albeit more thudding, punch.
If Jacobs doesn't put the fear in Golovkin early on then it will mean trouble for him.
Golovkin's punches wear guys down pretty fast, you can see it when it's happening. It happens like double the rate of the typical middleweight doing good body work.

But if he gets Golovkin thinking twice, then it's a fight. This is *way* better than Eubank Jr or Billy Joe vs. GGG.

Really excited to see this fight

Why wit everybody else they get percentage but wit ggg he has to get a flat fee?? Lol I told u already it's a tactical move by Oscar and he actually has some sheeps believing him lmao they know fighting ggg is a risk to their whole brand and they are not willing to risk that. It's ok. We get it. Just understand that Canelo is no longer the man. Ggg is. The face of boxing. The most popular and most talked about is ggg. Without ggg Canelo will never have a legacy and it's that simple. Him not fighting ggg will hurt his career more than it will hurt ggg.
Because, business for business, Alvarez merits a 4:1 split on the fight, at the least. To simply try to argue that since Floyd and Pacquiao split their fight 60/40, 60/40 is now the default is foolish.

People **** on it now, but the 90/10 (with Alvarez giving Golovkin the full 6lbs) offer originally mentioned, from a business perspective, is about where the split, on a percentage basis, should actually be (with Golovkin's percentage moving up a couple points for every pound he's willing to come down).

If Golovkin/K2 are ready to take the event on a 10% share with Golovkin not having to give up weight, great.

To simply give Golovkin the 6lbs and 40% is foolish

There's a word of advice I have for Daniel Jacobs. Since you are the natural wider and stronger man; Please get your punches off first and trade and exchange power punches with GGG as much as possible.

However for the love of God please don't back up and not let your hands go by fighting at a slower pace, in an attempt to out box GGG from the outside and off the back foot because he thrives on that. He likes to beat his opponents to the punch by walking them down and cutting off the ring.

The reason I say this because you will run the risk of ending up in a TKO stoppage loss if you do.

That's most certainly what he shouldn't do. You don't want to trade with someone like Golovkin. Something I've noticed about Danny is his punches tend to get sloppy when he's on the attack (watch how sloppy he is attacking Quillin). And Golovkin, when he decides to do so, is great at picking shots off with his elbows and also having his right hand in perfect position to block (i.e. the exchange of left hooks with Lemieux in round 4). Standing there and exchanging with GGG will get Jacobs knocked out sooner.
