You are full of SHT!! This is what you said two weeks ago!: "If cry baby kovalev couldnt knock BHOP out you sir (Joe Smith) are not knocking him out."
And now you have a meltdown over the fact that you were dead wrong and cant accept it.
And it wasn't a lucky punch, the fight ended with more than 10 consecutive punches.

You exposed him.Comment

I have agree with you here. Very valid points. People are reading into these 2 victories way too much.Smith better enjoy his 15 minutes. This is the same guy who was battered around the ring by much shorter clubfighter Eddie Caminero (he of the 7-9 pro record). In fact, Caminero broke his jaw as well. Imposing your will on a shot looking 52 year old is different than going after the young guys at the top. People are also milking the Fonfara upset far too much. Fonfara was considered a tough but limited contender, whose biggest claim to fame was beating a woeful looking Chavez Jr (who was also coming up in weight). People talk now like he was a P4P entrant. In fact, Smith looked extremely lucky to land the haymaker he caught Fonfara with. Bottom line is Smith was the lucky one who got the shot at Hopkins. Several other young light heavies could likely have accomplished a similar result last Saturday night if given the opportunity.Comment

How are you with a straight face gloating about knocking out a 52 year old? Seriously fkd up. Man clearly isn't used to the attention, enjoy your win, let the public talk about it and gear up for your next fight. Sometimes fighters in victory do themselves more damage than if they had lost.Comment

I'm a huge Hopkins fan, and I was at the fight rooting for Hopkins to defeat Father Time on one last occasion. Obviously, I was disappointed, but Smith's comment hardly counts as **** talking, and I think it's unfair to criticize him.
Smith might very well fall to other light heavyweights who are in their prime, but he earned his opportunities and if he doesn't try to promote himself and advance his interests following his upset victories over Fonfara and Hopkins, nobody will.
Are fighters now supposed to minimize their achievements? Part of the legacy Bernard left to other fighters trying to make their way in this sport, particularly those who aren't insiders, is that they can't assume somebody else is going to make things happen for them.Comment

The transitive property does not work in boxing, so the common opponents argument doesn't readily follow. HOWEVER, I think it is one of the best metrics possible when you don't have a fight between two people. It's wayyy better than the "eye test" in my opinion. BHop now isn't the same BHop that Kov fought, which isn't he same BHop that Pavlik fought, which isn't the same BHop that RJJ fought the first time, but it does indicate that Smith isn't someone to be toyed with. I don't put him on that Ward-Kov tier of fighters. It would be good if he fought Barrera, Beterviev, Cleverly, Alvarez to get a better feel for how all of those fighters are. 175 is looking good right now...Comment
