I'm just saying if they fought now it'd be the hugest thing in combat sports ever. It'd do more buys & revenue than Floyd vs Manny. Freak show or nah don't matter. Where Conor stands in the combat sports world in 2031 don't matter. If Floyd is bored or not don't matter.

If you don't personally care about the fight fair enough. **** I don't really care about the fight either I'm just saying IF they did fight it'd be the biggest thing in combat sports ever.
i guess the point im trying to make is may was the best in his sport for the bulk of his career and is, rightly or wrongly, compared to the ATGs.

love him or hate him, may put in his work. earned his rewards and not by clinging onto anyones coattails.

now that hes ''retired'', this **** starts making noise about a fight and how may needs him.

what mcbeggor should do is forget may for now. if hes serious about fighting may, he should 1st fight a known boxer. maybe alcherry (whos had some kick fights). build up interest.

Berto got sloppy seconds of Floyd's girls or Floyd got sloppy seconds of Berto's girls or something f#cking silly like that. Regardless I overall disagree with you I think everyone phoned it in with this last Floyd fight from Showtime to Mayweather Promotions to the fighters themselves.
They did promote it as his last fight, genius...

Or any facet of your life? Danny is spoiled because he benefits from the back of Floyd and his hard work to even help Al get a company like PBC in the mix and his father has already said, in regards to the Thurman/Porter fight, why risk each other when you can fight a rod salka for millions?
Giving yourself all the advantages is being a pu*sy. Stop defending it.

They didn't do it very well. I mean sure they said it was his last fight Mr. Clever, but they didn't celebrate Floyd's career or hype the fight very strongly with that angle. It was sorta like Bhop's fight this weekend...**** in fact I think more of a last fight angle was used to promote Bhop's fight Saturday as his last fight then they used that angle for Floyd vs Berto.

Go read Schaefer's comments about this. He spoke on it better than I as I'm saying it as an afterthought & as a fan & he actually does that as his chosen profession & does it better than most & certainly better than Ellerbe.

High Stakes? LOL Okay. Horrible promoted fight. Just in general this is a ****ty fight poster without regard to anything else. This fight shoulda did double what it did easily off of some heavily hyped last chance to come see Floyd get what he deserves retirement fight angle.

Well, Floyd never needed a "retirement angle" to sell over a million buys before... Which just goes back to my original comments on why this thing flopped. Most people gave up hope of ever seeing him lose after Pacquiao failed.

Thats bs. EVERYONE climbs other guys coattails to one degree or another & certainly the biggest names rarely become the biggest names off of their own wind.

I don't think Floyd or Manny are what they are or would have become what they became without their respective W's over Oscar. Floyd was calling out Oscar for years. He left TR I believe almost exclusively because TR had no designs on him fighting Oscar & thought that fight was a joke matchup for Floyd to be thinking about.

Hell even Conor is where he is by beating a guy who hadn't lost in a decade. He was big on his own **** before that, but deading Jose Aldo took him to another level.

what may/pac/others have done is call out others prior to becoming ''a sides''.

what guys like conor is doing is tugging coattails. like briggs was doing to wlad and con did to may as well...desperation is never a good look.

I'm just being real, Floyd said he wanted a 9-figure payday for a comeback but that type of MayPac cash ain't likely to be replicated again, if ever. That was a once in a lifetime thing, casuals won't be duped again.

There are only 2 fights that will generate big dollars for Floyd and that's a Canelo rematch or GGG. Canelo wants it at 154 but Floyd doesn't, he wants a 152 CW again so that is a lost cause. Floyd can't make 160 for GGG so that fight is dead.

And Danny doesn't have a big fan base right now, so that's that.

Old Oscar definitely made May & Pac, without Oscar's help/passing of the torch, they wouldn't be any where near the household names/stars they are now (they both should be kissing his behind). And to that effect, Pac was able to hold PPVs by himself, Mayweather struggled and needed other big names to be successful.

All Floyd's fights had an angle since Oscar. He fought names or Latino's on Mexican holidays. This was the dumbest promoted Floyd fight ever. He fought a black guy no one f#cking knew on a Mexican holiday. Lol. It was a ******ed idea from the jump and implemented by Ellerbe it was destined to be be Floyd's worse PPV since he went mainstream.
