A cherrypick gone wrong is still a cherrypick. If the intent was to avoid credible threats by picking someone who appears beatable or an outright certain victory, it's a cherrypick in my book.
True. A lot of people don't remember that De La Hoya vs Pacquiao was a cherry pick gone wrong because the story had become about how great Pacquiao was and people forgot how Oscar was trying to get an easy win over a big name.
