Probabley because most of the supplements come in just before the fight.
Your arguement is dopey TS, obviously youre the Povetkin fanboy unable to come to terms with reality. You dont know sht, so what he didnt test positive before, he successfully avoided the tests, he was taking other stuff not as easily detectable or w/e else. Maube the drug he took takes time for its effects to kick in.Last edited by SplitSecond; 12-17-2016, 09:48 PM.

this brainless idiot....there's a reason the testing protocol includes multiple tests over long periods of time randomly.....precisely because you're not gonna catch cheaters easily if they know what they're doing...testing is always behind the cheaters because there's more money in cheating than in catching them. this guy thinks a normal piss test for each fight is enough

Fighters, and their doctors, are pretty bloody good at cycling and masking. VADA, USADA, WADA etc etc are very likely to be incompetent and crooked - but they are also chasing people who have head starts.
They can only catch what they know to look for - or be a blind squirrel finding a nut.

On December 16, 2016, VADA notified the WBC that Alexander Povetkin’s anti-doping test taken from his December 6, 2016 sample (the “Test”) pursuant to the WBC Clean Boxing Program (“CPB”) yielded an adverse analytical finding for the banned substance Ostarine. The Test was conducted pursuant to the CPB in connection with Mr. Povetkin’s bout against Bermane Stiverne for the WBC Heavyweight Interim World Championship scheduled to take place in Ekaterinburg, Russia on Dec.17.
Seems like VADA did the right thing.

And I remember quite a few peeps around here getting on Mayweather for using "Crooked" USADA instead of VADA for random testing.
Something doesn't add up. How do you get busted on a test just before the fight but not tests leading up to it? It's like he juiced the day before the fight - but that wouldn't do anything for him except maybe help him cut a bit.
The Duhaupas KO seems to confirm what people have been saying though - boxing's decline is directly matched to the cleanup of the sport. Put them on the juice, you see those brutal KO's from the 80's. No juice, better get used to Kovalev/Ward level bouts for the future.
Might as well let them both do it at this point.
