******ity is the only explanation. The first one was borderline. Sure his levels were low but initially that didn't come out until after the investigation so he got a mulligan but he failed again his very next fight. He is a drug cheat & lost all credibility. He did look good in this fight but it doesn't matter now. He won't be fighting for any titles for a long time. Testing has obviously improved. He should of known he would be under heavy scrutiny & subject to thorough testing. Waste of talent & wasted opportunities. It makes absolutely no sense to try & get away with cheating after the first failure but it is no surprise as he is not the only one. Lucas Browne & Tarver also did the same thing...

My goodness!!
Hopefully he is banned for life or better yet let him fight other fellow juiced up Russians in a bar with a boxing ring and have him go thru 2 or 3 fights in 1 nite per weekend on a 2 month streak while getting paid next to NOTHING!
For now on, every next PEDvetkin opponent I'm rooting for to knock his cheating ass stone cold out! Smh no place in a sport that is already a punchline in the sports newspaper section!Comment

I don't feel bad for Duhaupas at all. He's a moron for taking a fight on one day notice against a proven PED cheat who had just tested positive for a banned substance. Definitely not a graduate from the health comes first school of boxing.
Povetkin is a stone cold cheater. This knockout win is meaningless. The fact that he was somehow allowed to fight shows once again how big of a joke boxing is.
Povetkin assumed that WADA can claim that they found some banned substance in his last test (after 4 or 5 clean tests before). Later they always can say Ops, it was mistake, sorry.
Let's wait for results of the same duplicated test from Switzerland laboratory. Why this result is not ready but WADA made it? Also wait for results from independent labs of today's test.
Duhaupas was already in Russia for this fight and has own contract in case of possible provocation. Russians don't trust WADA at this moment. So don't think Duhaupas has no actual preparation. Povetkin thinks Stiverne didn't want to fight with him from the beginning. It is all for the $$$ in sport.
—Povetkin fails drug test, Wilder fight gets cancelled.
—Povetkin faces no suspension, gets booked to fight Bermane Stiverne for interim belt.
—Stiverne fails drug test, only gets fined, fight with Povetkin still planned.
—Povetkin fails drug test, Stiverne promptly refuses to fight him.Comment

Excellent KO, can't get much better than that.
As for Povetkin's legal issues, it will play itself out I'm sure. He'll likely get a sizable fine and banned for +/- a year. But then he should be doing pretty well financially, and may wanna just call it a career, who knows.Comment
