Downright shameful that this fight even happened.

Agreed that this should be a no contest. I'm not a Wilder fan but you can't seriously compare how either man handled Duhaupas. Johann is a pretty rugged, decent skilled fighter. With no actual preparation and with a opponent loaded with PEDs, he had no legitmate shot of being competitive let alone winning.Comment

Cheating Russian POS
Povetkin should be suspended from the sport for at least 2 years. If the WBC doesn't drop the hammer on him this time, they are a fraudulent organization that only cares about extracting sanctioning fees.Comment

When PEDvetkin decided to cheat. Funny that you have a bigger problem with Stiverne pulling out of a fight where his opponent had a known unfair advantage, than Povetkin being a cheater.Comment

True or not, IDK but this is big SHAME for Povetkin. I told everywhere that he was a strong fighter in HW division. I was arguing with people who didnt like him so, this news dissapointed me. He has a perfect amateur career and he became a champ in his pro career. his future looks dark!Comment

Povetkin was doped up and Duhaupas fought him with literally no preparation on less than a day's notice.
Even if you're not "sold" on Wilder you're an idiot for comparing the 2 fights.Comment

I'm very eager to hear the explanation for taking ostarine.
Povetkin is very undersized for his division and hates being wrestled. He wins fights by having superior technique to just about everyone other than Klitschkos.
The legal microtrace of meldonium thing was a witch hunt and the WBC embarrassing themselves, but ostarine is an actual PED/estrogen blocker that should have zero detection.
I just can't fathom why he would do this to himself after 5 clean tests, and against Stiverne of all people. Just so ******.
Did he think since Stiverne tested positive that he would get away with taking something at the last minute?Last edited by ////; 12-17-2016, 06:10 PM.Comment

I'm assuming he did. The main event was keeping the card alive. Duhaupas was in Russia a few days ago. He may have been there to watch the fight as he is a top 10 guy in the WBC but he could have also known he could be a possible replacement if Povetkin failed. They must have already known. Johann was getting paid around 300000 euro in the Takam fight so I'd be surprised if he didn't get paid more. I'm curious what Johann does. I'm not sure what happens when you get KO'd like that. I'm not sure if he is prohibited from fighting for a certain period but he would still have 6 weeks to train for Takam.Comment
