If 15 million is true Golovkin should just take, it, and fight a scrub instead of Danny Jacobs. Jacobs may KO Golovkin, the he won't get any payday period.

Whether they accepted the offer today, or spent another couple of months tweaking the deal, the fight isnt going to happen a single day sooner, so I dont know why everyone is getting their panties all bunched up
Of course GBP's side is going to act like K2's side is making bad decisions & K2's side is going to act like GBP's side is making crappy offers. Thats kinda how the public side of talks work.
Also yea I think people are forgetting this fight isn't happening for 9 months if God, Jesus, Allah, Buddha & the Dalai Lama were involved in making it happen so its a little silly to make too much of anything still.

And secondly, maybe you are unfamiliar with how promotional contracts work, but typically its not up to the fighter
I'm sure Tom will come out and set the record straight. Or maybe he'll keep quiet like he did with BJS when everybody was saying he offered Saunders $4 mil but it turned out to only be $1.5 mil

there are only a handful of fighters who can tell their promoter whats what. I dont know enough about the LEGAL relationship between GGG and K2 to really have an opinion as to whether he can do whatever he wants to.
Standard language in promotional agreements gives the PROMOTER the right to negotiate, make, or reject any fight. Thats the trade off. The fighter gets the security of having a minimum number of fights per year, at xxx minimum purse, and the promoter gets the final say so on all the details.
But since you seem to think you know everything about how promotional contracts work, feel free to ignore people who have actually written them.........
Edit: Honestly, the amount of arrogance you have, especially about matters you obviously dont know the first thing about, well its getting pretty tiring. I think Im done talking with you, because its pointless.Last edited by OnePunch; 12-17-2016, 03:34 PM.

Gee, now $15 million. Since we're going to start throwing out imaginary numbers for a fight Golden Boy refuses to consider for another 10 months, why not 20 million? Or 30 million? Hell, go all the way up to 100 million! What a coward Golovkin is!
