How many boxers were at their primes after turning 35?

Nonsense.
After the injury he required multiple surgeries, was told by doctors not to run, wasn't cleared to spar...his knee was completely destroyed.
Roach saw it in the Murray fight and pounced. Sergio's knee was literally giving way while moving around, it was collapsing without anything even happening.Comment

Bhop, Moore, Wlad...I am using the terminology prime. Not absolute peak but they were still in their primes.
Martinez started to slip physically just before the jr fight but had one last great performance in him. May hasn't slipped physically yet and may still be in his prime (not peak ofc).
Wlad I still don't think has slipped. He got beat by a guy who outsized him and he will now get beat by a guy who is more active, younger and hits harder. Outside of Fury and AJ, Wlad beats every other heavy on the planet.Comment

now address the illegal part.
because he was caught in the act doing something illegal that could potentially enhance his performance.

Problem is we don't know how good Golovkin is. Can't say he was an ATG when he's never proven it.Comment

Of course I do.
He looked as good as ever in that fight, his age was not an issue. The destroyed knee was the issue, that same thing has happened to athletes in their 20's...when you suffer a devastating knee injury (which turns into multiple significant surgeries), it's over.Comment
