Floyd offered Pac a career high payday as well, which Pac refused. When they had a fair split, Pac made 3 times more than Floyd's original offer.

I love boxing but boxing has some of the dumbest fans in all of sports. I think that's the real reason boxing is so easily exploited. The biggest names controlling their own fake drug testing.... imagine Alex Rodriguez could control his own drug testing? How many home-runs would he now have? Would the Yankees be paying him 50M/year to continue juicing? I've heard people say that Super Bowl's are fixed by Vegas. As a big football fan I have a hard time believing that defensive players would ever avoid sacking a QB to fix a championship game. But when it comes to boxing we see the NSAC judges blatantly rob Kovalev and you know its a robbery when all three judges give six straight rounds to the challenger with the exception of one judge who realizes that he had already given Ward one too many rounds so gives Kovalev the 12th round to try to hide his bias. Then you have guys like Canelo who vacates to avoid dangerous fights. UFC comes on the scene and lays the blueprint for how to make a combat sport successful, fair and clean. Boxing doesn't care because boxing is happy exploiting it's ******, racist, nationalist and sad fan base. Along comes a guy like Golovkin and how do fans react? As expected! The fan's uneducated hatred is a catch 22. On one side it helps generate sales but it's that same success that cripples boxing. All the ****** fan hate is aimed at the boxers when instead it should be aimed that the system; the commissions, the broadcasters, the promoters, the advisers, the managers and the mob that seems to control them all. The boxing fans are the only ones that have the power and motive to ever fix the sport but we're too ****** to realize it. Instead of ever again paying for PPV fights we should pool the money we spend on PPV and control the fights we want to pay to see. If we want Golovkin vs Alvarez we'll put up the money as one. We'll dictate year around random VADA testing with public knowledge of A sample failures. We'll name the venue. We'll name the referee. We'll name the judges. We'll name the broadcasters. That's my take the current boxing system, it needs to die before a clean and fair sport can emerge. Left to its own it will never clean itself up. In the US we should build a National Boxing League similar to the NBA, NFL, MLB, with boxing teams in every major state where the best face the best every 4-5 years after going through a tournament style schedule. Like baseball, boxers from all over the world could join the US boxing teams through a draft. The teams would consist of coaches, trainers, managers, advisers and boxers. The league could also have a boxer's union to protect the rights of the fighters and the league would be held accountable by the teams and the government.

In regards to leverage in negotiations

Canelo has the most important factor in all. HE IS THE STAR! He is the face of boxing the cash cow the one people want to see. That is why anything ggg has to offer is meaningless and has no leverage in negotiations. They are fighting for canelos star power. If Canelo wins it adds to his already good resume, if ggg wins he becomes the star of boxing. Ggg needs the fight more than Canelo. Ggg is 35 Canelo 26. Ggg should sign to fight and beat Canelo and than receive even bigger pay days in his future. Why he hasn't accepted is beyond me. Golden boy will not change that offer. It's a good offer for ggg.

The reality is even if it is the highest amount of money he has earned, they are offering like 10% of the split from a fight of this magnitude, and for a champion that has the division almost unified that's an insult, has a 0 to lose, 4 belts to lose, he is the fighter in that division that has the most views, fans and haters, so yeah! 10mil is an insult to GGG from Oscar and Canela, if Canelo loses, wich he will and because he knows that he has not taken the fight, he already has a L in his resume, it's supposed to have 3L but we will not get into that, but if Canelo loses people will confirm the fraud he is, all hype no glory, still Oscar will be able to save Canelo's career and keep him fighting opponents with weight disadvantage or washed up past their prime fighters.

Saul Alvarez doesn't care about the middleweight belts, Golovkin has yet to actually beat anyone to make his "0" worth anything, and Alvarez already does 3-5 times the business that Golovkin does.

Canelo is literally on the verge of finalizing a fight that, in all likelihood, will end up putting 60k-70k people into JerryLand for a massive PPV payday.
