However, I don't agree that Kovalev got nothing from JDJ. He clearly looks an improved fighter in some aspects since they've been together. The Hopkins performance in particular was a masterclass and I think JDJ played a big role in that. But the fact that Kovalev is even having these thoughts means they need to split. The trust is clearly gone

Having someone who speaks his language and who is on the same page culturally in his corner will probably do him some good

Well, there you have it folks. JDJ admitted defeat and now so did Kovalev. With an excuse but he's admitting defeat nonetheless. Now yall can stop crying robbery.

Kovalev is a good fighter but I don't like this type of attitude. He seems very closed minded. It's always good to be open to new ideas.
I agree. It's been mentioned around here that he is not opened to listening to trainers. If you don't agree with their methods fine but dont go around trying to degrade them. Because there's a reason why America has had so many great fighters to this day.

Kovalev has been talking about dumping Jackson for over a year now. I'll try to find that article from a year ago where he talks about dumping Jackson

Abel Sanchez kicked him out of big bear and the police were called. I don't know why people have been ignoring that side of Kovalev....well I do know why but whatever.

Acknowledging the judges' decision is not the same thing as saying he doesn't believe he deserved to have his hand raised. Not that I am saying it's a robbery, it wasn't, even if I believe it was a poor decision.

No, he was just not happy with his performance. He also said he felt like he lost against Chilemba. But he won. Understand the difference?

But that same night he said he was robbed and cried about American judges. So, he isn't just acknowledging the judges' decision.

Also, you dont think it was a robbery but believe it was a poor decision, why? Because it was UD rather than SD or MD? Just curious.

I didn't know about the police part. Crazy. Lol

Kovalev has the right to go anywhere he wants, but he comes across as way too difficult to train.

JDJ and Abel Sanchez said the same thing. You can only train who wants to be trained.
