These SHO/PBC people are shameless. They can't even make their top fighters fight each other, ie, Charlos, Lara, Andrade, etc. And these clowns Espinoza and Schaefer say they're the market leaders. Makes me puke.
Yeah, it doesn't make sense when you rely on HBO fighters to make huge fights.

Showtime ain't leading ****. They bombed yet again on Saturday.

The highest network rating this year went to Golovkin/Wade. Bad year for boxing.

Not surprised by this. HBO has more subscribers and Crawford is more well known than anyone on the SHO card. However, SHO had the much better fights Sat night.

Frankly, it would 've been better for the sport if the SHO card was on HBO.

They don't have that many more subscribers. They destroy Sho ratings prorated per subscriber, every time

But this is the gist, his boss retires and it's bye Sho boxing
You can compare ratings when HBO has twice as much subscribers. Most of the fights that Showtime/CBS is putting on would never happen on HBO. HBO would want to put them on PPV in order to not waste there boxing budget. People claim the PBC is over paying their boxers but its HBO who's paying millions to GGG, Ward, Canelo, Cotto and Crawford to fight tomato cans.

Sho is gonna have the much more quality cards. Ggg wade was hbos best performer lol. There's nothing good about Crawford Molina outdoing the mares Charlo card.

Please stop reposting "per subscriber" stuff you see others using without knowing WTF you are talking about. They have somewhere between 7-8 million more subscribers last I checked.

HBO has 30 years in the business and has cache with fans so they are still the premiere network for boxing IMO.

Whatever the difference, SHO had the better fights this weekend so I watched those live and taped HBO. If HBO had the better fights, I would've watched them live and taped SHO.

HBO has a reported 31 million subscribers.
                      Showtime has 23.5 million subscribers.

HBO has about 30% more viewers. That's about a quarter more than Showtime, not double.

However the discrepancy in the ratings is about double the discrepancy in the subscribers. Showtime's messing up and it's been that way for over a year. Go back last year when Jacobs/Quillin were getting the same numbers in December as this card. And yet Broner showed this year Showtime can still get good numbers.
