yeah certain organisations are basically in bed with certain promoters.

        e.g WBO and frank warren
        IBF and eddie hearn

        etc

Hence why the WBO wont enforce jack ****.

Wbo seems to be the most corrupt out of the 4 these days

It's time for these ABC people to start stripping fighters in favor of fighters who will be more active in defending the belts. If it comes down to money wouldn't forcing a fight to make a fighter active not be the best course of action?

I like the fight, but Khurtsidze has just been sitting on his win over Douglass and he was very inactive before that. I could see the WBO ranking somebody over him (probably Langford or Murata....) and making them the mandatory due to him not fighting so long.

How did Khurtsidze earn that # 1 spot? Just curious.

Why are champs allowed so much leeway to hold their belts hostage.
Boxing is just rife with this nonsense.

We'll give Kell Brook a pass since he is nursing an injury ..but time is ticking on him as well to make known his intentions.

Billy better try to cash in, to the highers bidder if he wants a handsome retirement.

He beat Antoine Douglass who was making his 2nd defense of the WBO international title. If Douglass had won the fight (originally against Sam Soliman), he would've been mandatory to BJS and Showtime had a contract in place to sign Douglass (Khurtsidze's trainer was bragging about how they cost Douglass the contract).

Thanks.I suspected as much but wanted to make sure.
Still interesting that beating an Antoine Douglass (unproven and unknown) will earn you a # 1 spot in the rankings.

                    Oh well.

I predict that the WBO will make Khurtsidze fight an eliminator against Arum's boy Murata while Warren keeps things in-house with Saunders-Langford to start with. I don't rate Murata much though so it's a winnable fight for Khurtsidze
