I would have favored Roy at any weight,he seemed

to have solved the shoulder roll defense, but I agree it would have been a much better fight with an in shape Toney.

It may very well have been the case for some of his other fights as well, but I've heard people in the media with first hand knowledge of the situation use this as sort of a disclaimer. For them to that you would have to imagine that it was particularly brutal, and coincidentally it was also his last fight at that weight. I'm not saying that Roy still wouldn't have dominated Toney, just that it probably wouldn't have been as bad if he wasn't drained to death for that fight.

I believe Roy said this was a co-ckfighting move. It makes sense cause this is how roosters fight.
