Any time Toney is mentioned you're all over it. I admire your dedication.

Toney did have to lose a ton of weight, shortly before the fight.

It is obviously Toney's fault, but it's still a relevant fact. He had to lose like 30-40 lbs in three to four weeks and then take on possibly the greatest fighter ever.

When wasn't that the case for any of his other fights?

It may very well have been the case for some of his other fights as well, but I've heard people in the media with first hand knowledge of the situation use this as sort of a disclaimer. For them to that you would have to imagine that it was particularly brutal, and coincidentally it was also his last fight at that weight. I'm not saying that Roy still wouldn't have dominated Toney, just that it probably wouldn't have been as bad if he wasn't drained to death for that fight.

I would have loved to have seen this fight at cruiserweight, Roy still might have won but it would certainly clear a ton of controversy.
