You're right. It's funny how the heavy footed, straight ahead, predictable Maidana becomes better and better every year. It's interesting that the fans asked for Khan and Floyd went for Maidana even though FM said he'd fight the fan's choice.

a g? for fighting a c level slugger, at best b level for a second time, while Khan and Pacquiao were waiting in the wings? Floyd was a ***** for fighting Maidana the first time after his poll failed lol

The first fight had intrigue because Maidana had momentum after upsetting Broner. Broner had a LOT of hype back then, a pureish boxer that some fans could look at and say 'well if Maidana could demolish that guy, maybe he beats Mayweather'.

And that thinking ended up being more right than wrong as it turned out. Maidana had the style and size to take several rounds convincingly, making for one of the closest fights of Mayweather's career.

And of course after that performance it would have looked bad NOT to do the rematch.

Can't really criticize Mayweather for this pair of fights. He probably would have stopped Khan and would end up fighting Pacquiao anyway.

Mr. ******ity, now you want us to believe that a fighter with exactly ZERO quality wins should be referred to as a "G"? Doesn't work that way, accolades like this are reserved for people who step up and take challenges, not for those who run from them.

Manny did enough to beat Floyd. He countered Floyd, like Floyd is used to doing to other fighters. It was fun to watch. People overrate Floyd's defense A LOT. He is a great defender but he gets tagged too often by lesser fighters. Maidana embarrassed him in the first fight and almost KO'ed him in the rematch. Smh. But Floyd is a better defender than Sweet Pea though???? LoL!!! That's very laughable.
