Yeah there was a point where I saw Collazo raise his arms and look at the ref....when Hatton was still 4 feet away. After seeing that, Hatton clinched.

hatton should vacate the title and go back down to 140 where he can still dominate and still get some good fights in.Comment

Hatton proved he can win at Welter even against what was seen by everyone as a strange (difficult) choice of opponent. Yeah he could be the ruler of the light-welter division, but theres no big money fights there anymore. Who would he fight? Its all very well for people to say what he should and shouldnt be doing, but thats cos u dont know what his motives were for doing what he did. He never said he felt like 147 was his natrual division, and he never struggled to make ten stone, its just a case of chasing his dream to be considered the best, and chasing the money of match-ups with Cotto and Mayweather.
Based on this performance he wouldnt beat mayweather, but hes growing into the division and hes growing as a fighter. I'd like to see him fight Castillo or Gatti now, then Cotto. I think he can still beat mayweather, but not now. Mayweather's camp would be smart to offer him the fight now before he gets any betterComment

Hatton wants to fight Floyd and acknowldes he's the best in the sport. I don't think there's anything wrong with him wanting the fight even if his chances are slim.
Coming to the US to fight such a bad style match up was a step up as far as I'm concerned. Good on him.Comment

If Hatton is going to stay at 147! He is going to need to change his style a bit.. At the moment he has no chance at all of beating mayweather. He would not be able to cut the ring off good enough to pin him down. I think hes next few fights should be with guys of simular styles to mayweather, And get a few new tools in is tool box. As we all no hes a great body man. But maybe he needs to practice a bit more on the hit and run side of things. As that is what mayweather would do all day if Hatton and him was to get it on right now..Comment
