The 4 in bold all took shorts in order to be in a position to do that. ggg comes in as if he's the big dog and expects people to move on his accord. He can't ask for a catchweight because he would never make that concession his self. Thought he could do so with Canelo, but Canelo dropped in order to make him beg, and that's what they've been doing every since.

ggg gets hell for it becuase the guy he had jump up wasn't a Pac or Mayweather the way De La Hoya's were AND he had just given Canelo hell for making a guy come up 8lbs with 5 months notice, when Brook came up 13lbs with like 2 and 1/2. Who did Froch ever fight and win! He won against the former Middleweight Champ in Taylor other than that who did he beat at 168? He fought the best in Ward and lost, he lost to Kessler who isn't exactly Sugar Ray Robinson!
The guy has the worst jab I've ever seen and he opens his career with over 90 amateur fights but his first 5 pro fights he was home fed guys with a combined record of 45 wins & 186 losses.

This guy was a product of an era when the top ten at 160 through 168 was not deep, not his fault. Just remember for the vast majority of boxing history 168 was a Light Heavy. All these guys fighting at 168 were weighing 180-183 come bell time.
This guy and Ward were hiding at 168, they were happy to stay there too! Ward fought lightheavy as an amateur and the limit there was 178lbs.
These "junior weight classes" are a joke when it comes to being a Champion!

Its not a concession because that's where the money would be. What fight has ggg ever tried to have in Kazakhstan? Weren't they talking about putting 80,000 in Wembley at the time? And yeah Pac went up to do it, Marquez came to another nation to fight the #1 p4per, Floyd gave up weight and ring size etc for Oscar, Canelo came down for Floyd, Cotto went down for Pac yet ggg does nothing. GGG haters still peddling nonsense about Ducking Ward

You can't duck a fighter who:

1. Only a year ealier you wanted to fight but he said no

2. Who isn't in your division and last fight was two divisions north of you, and hadn't even been one division north since 2013

3. Can't duck a guy who offers you a fight through email knowing damn well you just signed to fight a ppv, had two other unifications lined up.

4. And you defiantly can't duck a guy who hasn't even been fighting at the time for years and wants you to wait another 18 months before he is ready.

GGG didn't duck Ward. No Froch didn't duck GGG, but like Floyd, claimed he could beat him but had no intention of proving it.
