Thanks for posting that video. I had only seen quotes before now. I sense a bit of sarcasm in the statement given that Froch gives of a heart laugh right after the statement.

At any rate, this statement covers 2014, any attempt to get Froch out of retirement should have been at over 168 in my book. That makes it a bit more even given that if they fought in 2015 Froch would have been out the ring for well over a year.

Don't worry about sensing anything, here's Froch explaining his comments 6 months later:

Another one - there was a greater size discrepancy between Spinks/Taylor than Brook/Golovkin, and a much tighter fight.
