GGG is simply not a good match-up for Canelo.

Not a great match-up for a man who fights in spurts. GGG won't give him any time to breathe and just stalk Canelo like a fking predator. Canelo will be backpedaling from round 1 and taking big shot after big shot, he'll be exhausted after only a couple of rounds. GGG will just walk Canelo down break him down both mentally and physically in a very one-sided fight and stop Canelo in brutal fashion. Canelo doesn't really have much of a shot.

If they ever make this fight happen next year GGG will put on a show and look like a freaking beast.

You can't beat GGG by back pedalling. He would destroy you in long range and mid range with hard jabs and right hand and left hooks. What canelo should do is fight him on the inside, but even then we don't know how good GGG is fighting on the inside because we saw him numerous times adjust on certain situations.

The analysis is taken from GGG's previous fights but Canelo is not one of the B-level hacks GGG has faced.
Canelo doesn't need to run and wilt because he's got his own power and the defensive ability to hang in the center of the ring with Golovkin. Cotto is quicker than Golovkin and Canelo not only out-boxed him, but was unphased by his best shots.

I do think Golovkin wins, but because Canelo is too confident in his defense and chin. That may get him in trouble at some point. But, I don't believe that he is going to mentally wilt as he's never shown any inclination toward having that behavior. Quite the opposite, he's too confident and willing to get hit.

not sure why you think Canelo will be back peddling against GGG, he never runs in the ring and is a solid sturdy young man with pretty quick hands

He would be a sitting duck to GGG if he goes in to the pocket with them. GGG's left hook is one of the best in the game, and hittign that on the body and upstairs would brutalize Canelo.

so, posters in this forum have more confidence in canelo than canelo has in himself

I actually think Canelo has the advantage in the pocket, he would light GGG up.. He has better upperbody movement and more fluid combos with faster hands
