Haye is not the same fighter he used to be. He's got a hanging pair of **** now and has no intention of fighting a real challenge unless he's getting a fat check.
I wouldnt say that, his antics with wlad have got him known with casuals and people who dont even watch boxing, he would of been a much bigger draw than bellew.

High risk low reward.. Bellew is a soft pick like the youtubers he has fought.. That alimony must be robbing Haye of all his earnings..

Nothing new he fought Audrey Harrison on PPV, a doorman, a self taught Youtube boxer.
U.K casuals will buy absolutely anything.

He has made a career out of conning the British public, Bellew is right with that.
I don't like Bellew at all but I seriously hope by some miracle he catches Haye in an exchange with that left hook and puts his lights clean out.

Because, even for all the silliness of "Let's Go Champ" Shannon Briggs, he's still a 6'4 260lb heavyweight with bigtime pop in his hands, who'd be walking into any such fight possibly sharper than David Haye currently is.

David Haye is one bad defeat away from being a spent draw in the UK, and Haye seems to keenly know that; Bellew gets Haye back on Box Office, so even if he does get beat, he cashes out one final big payday.

Haye-Briggs could've likely have been schedule for the WBA's regular titlem with then winner having to make one defense before being in position to fight the Joshua-Klitschko winner.

                No he would not.

You obviously don't understand the uk market.

Briggs would have done ok, but sky refused to put it on PPV. Bellew did well enough on ppv for sky to go with him as ppv from now on.

Haye v Bellew will sell very well, it's a 6 million plus pound fight. Haye v Briggs is a 3 million pound fight tops

Hayes fights with the doorman and youtube boxer were on free TV.

                  Aren't you an aussie?

How many bums has mundane and green faced on ppv over there?

Haye side of the story is this: Briggs wanted it to be a PPV fight but the networks said they'd only make it PPV if there was a world title on the line because Briggs wasn't a big enough name in the UK. Haye says he offered Briggs $2 mil but Briggs turned it down.

But it wasn't. Plus title or not it still doesn't make it a better fight than Bellew. They are both a JOKE of a fight but at least the Bellew fight is financially better.
