if Canelo wins against GGG is he PFP # 1?

I feel like no matter what Canelo does, he'll always be downplayed by hard-core fans. GGG to some is the PFP # 1 fighter but let's say Canelo actually fights him and defeats him, which is not impossible. I feel that Canelo will still be underappreciated.

Beating Trout, Lara and Cotto really didn't much for him I guess.

My personal thing against Canelo is that his footwork kind of got exposed against Floyd and Lara but then whose footwork doesn't get exposed against these guys. Cotto's got pretty good footwork and Canelo didn't really have any issues with Cotto circling him all rounds.

I like Canelo but I'd probably still have him behind Gonzales and Ward.
Interesting thought, if he does beat Golovkin, where does he go from there?? 160 is a joke and he's too short for 168. He'd have to wait on guys like Andrade to come up to 160 to have any decent competition.

If he beats Golovkin he doesn't have to go anywhere. They can put pretty much anyone in with him.

if he fought and beat golovkin next year then yeah theres a very high chance i'd have him pound for pound number 1. But he has no interest in fighting golovkin which is why he relinquished the belt rather than fight him. so he isnt going to fight him let alone beat him

Gonzalez????? come on bro if Canelo beats Golovkin he's ranked higher than Gonzalez and I believe a win over Golovkin is better than a win over Kovalev
