Ok...so BJS is a bum who is afraid of Trip. That's very obvious. So why hasn't K2 orchestrated a couple of cherries from the WBO list to get Trip mandatory status. Easily done given that Kurtzside has called out Trip. This is why GBP is playing chess and K2 is playing checkers. Canelo can fight Saunders tomorrow if they so chose and Saunders could either fight or vacate.

I guess it's more fun to talk conspiracy and fear of Trip....smh

There is a lot of flexibility in the mandatory system, so will be interesting to see how it works out.

BJS' promoter can request anyone they like as the next mandatory, then up to the WBO if they accept or not, but they would almost certainly accept a request for Canelo or GGG.

The WBO can force things if they like too by letting BJS know the mandatory is Khurtsidze unless they propose a viable alternative, so all sorts of things could go down.

What insiders? But yes aside from Lemieux, this was always my su****ion. GBP must really believe the hype with Canelo if they're going to put him in with Lemieux. But hey he better be able to fight a guy like Lemieux first if he wants a chance to beat Golovkin.

Otherwise, yeah I figured getting Canelo BJS's belt would make sense. Then they can market Golovkin-Canelo in September as champion vs champion, and for the first unified middleweight champ since whoever did it last.

But the GGG TBA in May. Do you think that could be the jump to 168 and then he would come back down for Canelo? So Ramirez in May at 168 then Canelo at 160 in September? Or are they going to keep GGG at 160 the whole year so he doesn't have to bounce his body up and down going into the big Canelo fight?

Because ideally, weight aside, the three best opponents would be Jacobs, Ramirez (or Froch), and Canelo. Not that Jacobs, Eubank, then Canelo would be too bad either. But for legacy I think GGG needs to get a big, elite opponent like Ramirez in the ring while GGG is still at the edge of his prime. Otherwise if he's 36 years old before he moves up to 168 and he's not impressive, we will always wonder if he wasn't good/big enough, or if he'd just gotten old before he ever moved up. I want to see GGG fight these top guys before he's 36. 35 is already very late.

There's no way GG would sandwich in a SMW fight against the likes of Ramirez next year.

He'll only move up to SMW after he's done everything possible at MW.

Getting all the belts isn't a chess move. It means nothing in the boxing world to anyone not a hardcore Trip fan. The chess move is getting the WBO belt for negotiations. Also, we've been saying if Trip fights this guy and if he fights that guy for 18 months. Why would anyone have any confidence that any of these fights would happen? K2 has not been keen on taking risks with Trip before the Canelo fight. Chavez and a drained Froch aren't risks.

This is one of the most pitiful championship runs that I've ever seen in boxing, I said the same thing about Wilder but Saunders took that **** to the next level.

He deserves criticism for being so out of shape, but nobody can help being injured.
