Ok...so BJS is a bum who is afraid of Trip. That's very obvious. So why hasn't K2 orchestrated a couple of cherries from the WBO list to get Trip mandatory status. Easily done given that Kurtzside has called out Trip. This is why GBP is playing chess and K2 is playing checkers. Canelo can fight Saunders tomorrow if they so chose and Saunders could either fight or vacate.

I guess it's more fun to talk conspiracy and fear of Trip....smh

This guy and Canelo will do anything to avoid ggg, then their gullible fans will say how ggg hasn't fought anyone. Meanwhile these guys keep fighting over matched guys while pretending to be interested in a ggg fight. Boxing has become quite shameful.

In Fact I think BJS will try the most to make that fight against Canelo next because if he looses against his no. 1 mando Khurtsidze his top payday is gone.

Rumors are saying that GBP is only expecting Canelo to receive the ok from the Doctor next week so they can finalize a february fight against Lemieux, I think they'll try to make BJS sign the contract to fight on May, if BJS accepts the WBO will approve that fight instantly.

BJS won't have a tune up against Canelo so he'll lose that title but will gain a lot of money from that fight.

The plan is set from what I've hear and read from insiders.

        2017 Schedule
Canelo vs Lemiuex - February 2017
Canelo vs BJS - May 2017

GGG vs Jacobs - March 2017
GGG vs (TBA - Not BJS ) - June 2017

        Canelo vs GGG Sep 2017

I also want to see GGG move up and fight Gilberto Ramirez, the best 168 pounder, but Bob Arum didn't want it this year. He wanted it for next year. So what is GGG supposed to do? You guys keep blaming GGG for everyone else's reluctance to fight him. Who else? Degale and Jack were setting up their megafight all year. Degale already lost to a poor man's version of GGG at 168, even though he got the decision. Memo Heredia's version of Jack could be interesting for GGG, I mean slightly anyway, but again he planned on fighting Degale all year, don't think either of them wanted GGG yet. They want to unify, get the unification money at 168 against each other who aren't big punchers, wait for GGG to get older and even more known so they get a huge payday for the "risk" as they all say, admitting GGG is the riskiest opponent out there, and then maybe fight him in 2018 or whatever.

So what specifically is GGG supposed to do that he hasn't already done? Lara doesn't want to fight him either unless he gets paid more than GGG, it was all talk. HBO can't afford to pay Lara 3 million. So what exactly is GGG supposed to do? You keep letting the people ducking him off the hook, you keep allowing it to happen, because every time they duck him, you blame him, not them, for it, so why wouldn't they keep ducking him if they know they won't get blamed for it?

I mean just in 2016 alone GGG tried to fight two black fighters with ELITE SPEED and ELITE POWER, Jacobs and Eubank. For anyone else, those would be extremely dangerous fights! Then GGG tried to fight one of the biggest body punchers and stars in the sport, Canelo. So GGG already tried to fight THE THREE fastest, most powerful, or simply most powerful, fighters in his division, all in one year! He also still wants to fight Froch, who was the biggest puncher at 168 besides Ramirez, and Ramirez, THE biggest puncher who also has a huge reach advantage on Golovkin.

I mean what else is GGG supposed to do? He has tried to chase down and fight every single guy from 160 to 168 besides Ward, who walks around 30 pounds heavier, was a "scaled down light heavyweight" even when he was at 168 according to his own trainer, and who wasn't even willing to get in the ring with GGG without having two tuneups first even though GGG was the one moving up to Ward's weight class, and who GGG still wanted to fight but the truth is the money wasn't there yet for either of them, which is why Ward stalled talks just as much or more than GGG's side.

So once you actually understand what happened with GGG-Ward, that criticism is off the table, and you can literally say GGG has tried to fight every top guy from 160 to 168. So what else is he supposed to do? They keep refusing to sign to fight him. They don't want to fight him. Now he's almost 35 years old and fighters are seeing him slip, so it wouldn't surprise me if Jacobs fought him now, which is a great fight. But up until now he's been too dominant and all the top guys besides Lemieux and Murray have ducked him, and there's nothing he can do about it.
I have a solution. The boxing world's eyes will be firmly planted on the light heavyweight division entering 2017. The Ward-Kovalev rematch winner will clearly be THE MAN and THE FIGHT for GGG. But, that fight won't be possible until late next year. GGG says he wants to fight 4× next year. How able stepping up to light heavy and taking a tune-up in the first quarter of 2017. See if something can be worked out with Haymon and try and fight Adonis Stevenson for his trinket in the summer. And hopefully, Ward-Kovalev is resolved. That way the winner can fight GGG late next year for not only the undisputed light heavyweight title. But also the undisputed P4P top spot.

So you don't want GGG or Canelo until 2019?

I could see it happening that way but if I was Canelo I'd go for BJS first and Lemieux after that.

There is a lot of flexibility in the mandatory system, so will be interesting to see how it works out.

BJS' promoter can request anyone they like as the next mandatory, then up to the WBO if they accept or not, but they would almost certainly accept a request for Canelo or GGG.

The WBO can force things if they like too by letting BJS know the mandatory is Khurtsidze unless they propose a viable alternative, so all sorts of things could go down.

Andy Lee was probably watching yesterday and asking anyone within earshot "how come I didn't get to fight THIS GUY?!?!"

BJS looked bad and was losing the fight at one point on my card.

No way he beats Lil g like this...

Super middleweight titleholder Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramirez tore the tendon around the knuckle of his middle finger on his right hand during a sparring session Tuesday and has withdrawn from his upcoming defense.

Ramirez (34-0, 24 KOs) will have surgery Friday and could be sidelined for the rest of the year. He was scheduled to make his first defense against Dominik Britsch (32-2-1, 11 KOs), 28, of Germany, in the co-feature of the card headlined by the junior welterweight world title unification bout between Terrence Crawford and Viktor Postol on July 23 (HBO PPV) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas...

"Gilberto Ramirez sustained an injury to the third knuckle of his right hand after a punch to the head of his sparring partner," Shin said in a statement given to ESPN.com. "I examined Gilberto later (Tuesday) and ordered an MRI of his right hand. The MRI revealed a complete tear of the ulnar sagittal band at the third metacarpophalangeal joint (knuckle) of his right hand, a region of the hand that is commonly injured in boxers. Gilberto will undergo surgery this Friday for repair of this injury. We anticipate that the soonest he will be able to fight competitively will be in approximately five months."

No before the injury, Bob said he wanted Gilberto to have one more fight this year, then GGG next year. So he wasn't ready for GGG this year regardless of the injury. There were multiple injuries where Bob said Gilberto needed a fight this year before GGG. That's how it always is with GGG. Everyone says I'll fight him, but not next. Including Gilberto, so far.
