Wait a minute, if BJS says he'll face his mandatories but wouldn't that mean he would face Khurtsidze? An opponent who poses an ACTUAL RISK?

I find this hard to believe. If BJS struggled against that Russian dude, then he'll prolly get bounced by Khurtsidze.

I doubt he fights Khurtsidze before Canelo or GGG since he's just as likely to lose that one and won't even be paid much for it

Already knew Langford was in the pipeline for BJS ever since he mysteriously appeared in the WBO top 10

If this was the IBF I would have no doubt khurtsidze is next, but the WBO can be shady with this stuff....

I also want to see GGG move up and fight Gilberto Ramirez, the best 168 pounder, but Bob Arum didn't want it this year. He wanted it for next year. So what is GGG supposed to do? You guys keep blaming GGG for everyone else's reluctance to fight him. Who else? Degale and Jack were setting up their megafight all year. Degale already lost to a poor man's version of GGG at 168, even though he got the decision. Memo Heredia's version of Jack could be interesting for GGG, I mean slightly anyway, but again he planned on fighting Degale all year, don't think either of them wanted GGG yet. They want to unify, get the unification money at 168 against each other who aren't big punchers, wait for GGG to get older and even more known so they get a huge payday for the "risk" as they all say, admitting GGG is the riskiest opponent out there, and then maybe fight him in 2018 or whatever.

So what specifically is GGG supposed to do that he hasn't already done? Lara doesn't want to fight him either unless he gets paid more than GGG, it was all talk. HBO can't afford to pay Lara 3 million. So what exactly is GGG supposed to do? You keep letting the people ducking him off the hook, you keep allowing it to happen, because every time they duck him, you blame him, not them, for it, so why wouldn't they keep ducking him if they know they won't get blamed for it?

I mean just in 2016 alone GGG tried to fight two black fighters with ELITE SPEED and ELITE POWER, Jacobs and Eubank. For anyone else, those would be extremely dangerous fights! Then GGG tried to fight one of the biggest body punchers and stars in the sport, Canelo. So GGG already tried to fight THE THREE fastest, most powerful, or simply most powerful, fighters in his division, all in one year! He also still wants to fight Froch, who was the biggest puncher at 168 besides Ramirez, and Ramirez, THE biggest puncher who also has a huge reach advantage on Golovkin.

I mean what else is GGG supposed to do? He has tried to chase down and fight every single guy from 160 to 168 besides Ward, who walks around 30 pounds heavier, was a "scaled down light heavyweight" even when he was at 168 according to his own trainer, and who wasn't even willing to get in the ring with GGG without having two tuneups first even though GGG was the one moving up to Ward's weight class, and who GGG still wanted to fight but the truth is the money wasn't there yet for either of them, which is why Ward stalled talks just as much or more than GGG's side.

So once you actually understand what happened with GGG-Ward, that criticism is off the table, and you can literally say GGG has tried to fight every top guy from 160 to 168. So what else is he supposed to do? They keep refusing to sign to fight him. They don't want to fight him. Now he's almost 35 years old and fighters are seeing him slip, so it wouldn't surprise me if Jacobs fought him now, which is a great fight. But up until now he's been too dominant and all the top guys besides Lemieux and Murray have ducked him, and there's nothing he can do about it.
Zurdo Ramirez is not ducking GGG:

            July 6, 2016:

Super middleweight titleholder Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramirez tore the tendon around the knuckle of his middle finger on his right hand during a sparring session Tuesday and has withdrawn from his upcoming defense.

Ramirez (34-0, 24 KOs) will have surgery Friday and could be sidelined for the rest of the year. He was scheduled to make his first defense against Dominik Britsch (32-2-1, 11 KOs), 28, of Germany, in the co-feature of the card headlined by the junior welterweight world title unification bout between Terrence Crawford and Viktor Postol on July 23 (HBO PPV) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas...

"Gilberto Ramirez sustained an injury to the third knuckle of his right hand after a punch to the head of his sparring partner," Shin said in a statement given to ESPN.com. "I examined Gilberto later (Tuesday) and ordered an MRI of his right hand. The MRI revealed a complete tear of the ulnar sagittal band at the third metacarpophalangeal joint (knuckle) of his right hand, a region of the hand that is commonly injured in boxers. Gilberto will undergo surgery this Friday for repair of this injury. We anticipate that the soonest he will be able to fight competitively will be in approximately five months."

So it's just a case of who offers enough money for him to 'sell' his belt to - which is probably going to be Canelo with the backing he's got.

His 'reign' is in danger of becoming a total joke pretty quickly
If Saunders is not careful, he'll be beaten before he gets to auction off the belt.

... just about the same here!!!...
... I'm also beginning to suspect that BJS did look so bad on purpose!

I wasn't honestly excited about a Golovkin/Saunders fight back when Bill was looking good.

We've seen BJS perform far better than he did vs Akavov. He'll beat Khurtsidze and either Murata or Langford, unless Alvarez calls for his mando shot in May. However I don't think Frank wants to sell BJS's title anytime soon. He needs Bill as an undefeated champion to help sell his new network, so they might turn GB off if they demand the lion's share of the purse.

Doubt it happens, Vacarcel has gone on the record saying BJS needs to make to mandatory defenses back to back, and one of them will be Canelo, Paco want's that belt on Canelo's waist so the more Billy can get is just one more fight before a top guy.

I always thought Saunders would be a very difficult fight for Canelo based on styles but based on what I saw on this wth is Akavaov fight..............................I think Canelo will beat him easy time.

Then prepare my folks, 3 belts vs 1 belt, total unified champion since Jermain Taylor, GGG vs Canelo Sep. 2017
