I tried to tell people Kov isn't a one punch ko artist, like Stevenson, or wilder...they put you too sleep....kov breaks you down with sharp accurate shots

it doesn't get any cleaner than how he hit ward and he was up by 3-4 smiling.

Wow who's fault is it when you come in your biggest fight not in the best shape possible? Kovalev who runs his own camp yes. Ward uses shilstone a legend first on the map with making spinks into a heavy against Holmes. Also first to use sprints of varying lengths instead of slow hour morning jog. Today called interval training . He also turned Roy jones into a heavy and Hopkins to jump up to beat tarver. Instead kovalev has to be tricked into learning moves quote by Jackson. Wonder why he left sanchez he saw ggg workouts got slapped a few times to the body went down once too but he wasn't the kovalev of now but it started the precident he didn't want to train hard or listen then all on him disgrace not being in best shape

keep saying it; I see a bigger win for Ward. Kovalev isn't going to get in better shape. No athlete does as they get older. Ward isn't in the shape he used to be, Floyd adapted a new style because he wasn't in the shape he needed to be so on and so forth.

If he tries to adopt a new fighting style he will get dismantled because he's going against a guy whose perfected his style with a style he hasn't tried before.

Ward adapted and took Kovalev's best punch from him. If Kovalev was able to do anything different he would've done so in the second half. Ithink this fight will pick up where the last one left off. It'll more than likely be similar to Mayweather-Maidana II

I think not wrestling with Ward is more essential. That's what I think wore him down, trying so hard to prevent Ward from fighting inside, he should've just stepped back. But he can't seem to box on the back foot Kovalev.

From a boxing stand point, Ward went to the bully and dared him to come fight him on the inside, which took a little bit of Kov's confidence he usually haves over fighters, thats why Kov kept grabbing Ward when they got close...he knew or was worried about Wards inside game.
Also youre trying to tell me that Kov wasnt training as hard as he could for his biggest fight of his career.....of course he was, Ward won a decision, close albeit, but he won and Kov isnt gonna learn any new wrinkles that will get him to land a big punch, he landed his big punch and it didnt worry or bother ward as it usually does to other fighters.
Kov should go and fight Adonis and get that strap to have something for negotiations against Ward. Because they won, they are the a-side like it or not. And if you have that kinda leverage, you would be ****** not to use it to your fighters advantage or you should be fired for incompetence.

"If"??? As the trainer, there should never be any question about the conditioning of your fighter. And why was Kovalev not in tip-top condition for this fight? Gotta look at the trainer.

                Disappointed in Jackson

For Jackson to say his fighter wasn't in the best shape of his life for the most important fight of his life is just not right. It says both Jackson and Kovalev didn't do their job.
You have to know Ward's conditioning overcomes his offensive liabilities and Andre will make it a grueling, wrestling match of a fight.
If Jackson didn't know it would be a war of attrition, he should start looking at other career opportunities.

Good job Ward, but not close enough to be the winner. A robbery is a robbery and the evidence is recorded by all to see. .. Ward can only be proud of avoiding a knock out, that's it. He lost, and it is on the record.

If he doesn't wrestle...Ward will work him over to the body on the inside.

Kovalev....like most Russians, don't like to fight on the inside.

                      Jackson isn't the problem.

Kovalev will only dig so deep.
