Also youre trying to tell me that Kov wasnt training as hard as he could for his biggest fight of his career.....of course he was, Ward won a decision, close albeit, but he won and Kov isnt gonna learn any new wrinkles that will get him to land a big punch, he landed his big punch and it didnt worry or bother ward as it usually does to other fighters.
Kov should go and fight Adonis and get that strap to have something for negotiations against Ward. Because they won, they are the a-side like it or not. And if you have that kinda leverage, you would be ****** not to use it to your fighters advantage or you should be fired for incompetence.
Kovalev didn't want that work on the inside.

    As for Adonis
    He'd destroy Kovalev.

Kovalev has zero punchers on his resume...for a reason.

Duva backed out of her own purse bid...for a reason.
She's not about to put Sergey in with a KO threat.

Kovalev called him a chicken then ran soon as Stevevson stepped to him.

I've never seen a fighter bolt from his own post fight interview.

Maybe. In hindsight, the only way Kovalev was winning in Vegas was to make Ward quit and he never did it. Kovalev coasted when he should have been letting it all hang out.

Those are the same adjustments I would have suggested. Kovalev needed to go to the body more to take away some of Ward's wind.

And he needed to be in better shape in order to not fade after Ward's sustained body attack.
