I taught Quartey won the fight. But a robbery, it was not. What does bother me about this fight is that 2 judges had Oscar ahead going into the 12th round. So even without that big rally, Oscar still would of won the fight. Which would of made no sense.
Quartey robbed against Delahoya

The fight was close, and scoring it slightly in either fighter's favor is acceptable.
Suggesting that you thought Quartay won 9 rounds in that fight is ridiculous.
Like I said, you can think whatever you want, but if you're going to make a thread all angry about what your opinion is and it's ignorant, you're going to get heart.
That's a brutal and urealistic score.
Say you thought Quartay won a close fight, but don't come here crying robbery with an outrageous score card talking like the majority of sane people who scored it are wrong and you're right.Comment

i'll say whatever i want to say because that's the way i seen it along with other people who watched the fight and judged it fairly. you can have your opinion but don't tell me what i should think or write about the fight, if you don't like the thread stay out.Originally posted by Bozo_no noThe fight was close, and scoring it slightly in either fighter's favor is acceptable.

It was not a robbery. When people with uninformed opinions weaken a term by throwing it around it cheapens discussion everywhere.
Your score is brutal, and calling the fight a robbery is an insult to fights that actually were robberies.
I can see why your bar is red.Comment

when was the last time you seen the fight and why is it every time that delahoya loses a fight but gets a gift decision it's not a robbery. i seen it as quartey got robbed just like i seen sturm get robbed against delahoya.Originally posted by Bozo_no noIt was not a robbery. Delahoya has won and lost close fights. The point is (outside of Hopkins) he's been competitve with everyone he's ever fought.
But that has nothing to do with you calling a close fight a robbery, which for the 3rd time now cheapens the word and term.
If you thought that fight was a robbery, you have no idea what you're talking about, and have no idea how a fight is scored.Comment

Ike Quartey is one of my favorite fighters. I think he won the fight, as well. But it can't be called a robbery. Why? Because of that mutha****in 12th round! If that 12th round never would of happened and Oscar would of got the win (which he would of, according to the cards) than I would be hollering robbery just like you. But it did happen. And even though I think Quartey won, he was not robbed.Originally posted by bdevilswhen was the last time you seen the fight and why is it every time that delahoya loses a fight but gets a gift decision it's not a robbery. i seen it as quartey got robbed just like i seen sturm get robbed against delahoya.

You said you had Quartay ahead by 3 rounds at the end of the fight. That's non sense, you don't know what you're talking about.
You continue to call the fight a robbery. That's illustrating you don't understand what a robbery is, and cheapening the term.Comment
