    Quartey robbed against Delahoya

just watched the quartey-delahoya fight again and damn did quartey get robbed, even with the big round 12 for dh i still had quartey ahead by 3 rds. also i was waiting for foreman to propose to delahoya after the fight as much as he was on his **** the whole fight, very onesided by foreman.

I don't have the energy to debate De La Hoya controversial decisions anymore. It was a close fight, I had DLH winning 115-113, but there were some close rounds. Quartey, when he was dominant, was really dominating. His jab was working very beautifully on DLH's face. But De La Hoya was getting alot of work done and the big 12th round helped seal the deal. The fact that he finished stronger in Las Vegas was instrumental to him getting the benefit of the doubt.

delahoya didn't win the fight and he knew it, look at his face between rounds and you could see how discouraged he was. why do you think he wouldn't give quartey a rematch when everyone wanted to see it.

Why do you think he never gave a rematch to:

            Pernell Whitaker?
            Fernando Vargas?
            Ike Quartey?

Because their careers all hit a puzzling downward spiral following their losses to De La Hoya.

besides vargas didn't deserve a rematch, and the whittaker fight wasn't that exciting for a rematch

There's nothing worse than people throwing around the term "robbery" like it's candy.

                  It was a close fight.

If you want to say you had it scored for Quartay, fine, but don't cry robbery.

That's reserved for Lewis Holyfielf 1, Augustus vs Courtney Burton etc.

i'm not crying anything i call it how i see it. if quartey was fighting anyone else he would of easily got the decision. decisions like that is the reason i'm not big on oscar, he's a good boxer but when you lose you lose and he had one too many fights where he got a gift decision
