Canelo, the latest, if he gets by Saunders (which is a tough fight but I expect American judges regardless).

GGG's loaded with mando's.

• WBA (Jacobs/N'Dam)
• IBF (Johnson/Derevyanchenko)
• WBC (Heiland might fight Lee on the GGG undercard)

168 is tied up for atleast the first half of 2017.

• The DeGale/Jack winner has to fight Callum Smith, then will have to fight the IBF mando.
• Groves is fighting Chudinov, then has to fight the interim champion - De Carolis.
• The WBO policy is their new champions (Rameriz), must make a mando in the first 9 months, so he'll be due after he has his February tune-up.

Loefflers inability to get the Jacobs fight done for December 10 (should have just went to bid and let the chips fall where they may) might cost Golovkin one of his belts next year. He is going to have too many mandos all due at once. Sure, if he can get Saunders (unification) that buys him some time, but had he been able to fight Jacobs in December he could have fought in March and June (Saunders and IBF mando in any order), fought Canelo in Sept and then either 168 fight or a WBC mando to close out the year. As it stands if he fights Jacobs in March then his only option for June is either Saunders or the IBF mando.


GGG fighting 4 times in 2017 is most likely a pipe dream, since it seems to take at least 6 months for Loeffler to even negotiate a mandatory defense.....

There are not 4 good opponents at MW right now, just a bunch of unproven guys.

BJS, Jacobs and Canelo are good enough, add N'Dam and maybe Lee into the mix and there's the potential for a pretty good year.

However I'll be surprised if more than 1 of those match ups happens or indeed if Golovkin fights more than 3 times. Most likely it's 1 of the above and a coupla so/so top 10 - 20 guys. Sucks, but without casting blame that just seems to be the way it's worked out the last coupla years.
