        (1) Next time Salido won't be able come in at a higher weight
        (2) Next time the referee won't be Laurence Cole, and will be under a LOT of pressure to apply the rules correctly on low blows

That second point needs to be fully appreciated. Most of what Salido was throwing was from a bent-over (head down) position with the punches starting low and rising, being thrown in the general body area (easier target than the head - right thing to do).

Loma moves in and out, and if he moved in, the punches couldn't help but catch him low. Without warnings/punishment, Salido could continue his punch output that way throughout the whole fight.

If he were to start having points taken away, and be in danger of a DQ, he would have to stop that style of punch output and straighten up, where he would have far less success.

The first fight was close as it was, but Salido won unfair and square. if the referee applied the rules correctly, it would have taken Salido's game plan away and he would have lost fair and square.

Second fight Salido quits the only way he knows how....DQ.

          OK, another clue,

          Godzilla vs supermouse....

(although supermouse takes that one, so probably a bad example)

Yeah. I get the bigger fighting smaller point but what's your view on it?

That's a dangerous fight for Pacquaio in every sense of the definition. Lomancheko moves really well and has great defense. There is the potential for the living legend to end up frustrated and looking lost in this fight. Lomancheko isn't an easy fight for anyone.

Pac is a lil bigger but i think Loma boxes his ears off. Might even wear Pac down and stop him.

the thing is people keep bringing up Salido's low blows..and rightfully so. but i don't hear a peep about Loma's excessive clinching. on this site clinching, or "hugging" is detested beyond belief, especially when Ward does it. . so why no mention of Loma's hugfest against Salido. if the ref really enforced the rules he would've deducted a point from both combatants. it was a competitive fight, both guys bending the rules a bit. and i had Salido as the rightful winner.
