Golovkin wouldn't discuss an interim fight because he wants to fight Jacobs asap. That's from the president of the WBA, not K2. Now cut the bullshit please.

I will assume that is a typo, not a shocking error

then it says that Loeffler has asked for another extension..... so that could be what kafkod meant

      I hadn't heard that

ok, so it sounds like there could be something meaningful happening..... or, Tom could be keeping up appearances and negotiating with someone else in the background

interestingly, that article also said Golovkin should have given Jacobs the 60/40 split that he and his manager Al Haymon wanted, and then dared him to accept it..... not sure if I agree, but they should definitely have agreed to 35%

fair enough then if Loeffler really did call for an additional extension, after his request for an immediate purse-bid was rejected..... but the proof will be in the pudding, if that fight doesn't get signed it wont mean much

personally, I would like to see a link quoting the WBA..... not throwing your link under a bus, but it did say that Eddie Hearn was managing Golovkin
It says Hearn is promoting him. And Golovkin probably wishes he was!

Fair enough. I think the issue is Jacobs wants 60/40, and Loeffler wants 70-30 (read one of the links that they'd go above 25, so I assume 30). This should get done at 65/35.

Why are the negotiations so long for a fight thats not even that big of a deal?
You'd think theyre negotating the pacquiao-mayweather rematch

              that is what I suspect

but if Diegosome1/kafkod can find a link quoting the WBA, then I will leave it there...... because then we are only guessing, despite the fact that seems to be their MO

Remove the hyphens between the letters of the url. The site is an offshoot of the Ring magazine. For some reason, Bscene blocked it. The article date is Oct 21.

Loeffler did request an immediate purse bid, because he said negotiations were going nowhere.

Jacobs then petitioned the WBA asking that the purse split be changed from 75/25 to 60/40 if the bid took place. The WBA turned down both requests and the 2 sides began negotiating again.
When the scheduled date for the bid arrived, that was when Loeffler requested the delay so talks could continue. So they must be getting somewhere now.

aah ok, I wasn't aware of that

then I could be wrong..... maybe Loeffler is making a genuine attempt

and the bold is how I remember it..... fair call

                there could be something happening
