We need to build an award of the year list for the most ******ed threads cause this one sits at the pinnacle.
It's definitely a modern age thing. Duran lost to Dejesus in a non-title at around thirty fights, too. Look back at the old-timers. Most of them had losses before they got to the title. One loss doesn't mean much. A lot of guys have gotten screwed over in the quest that an up and comer keeps his "0". They'd be better off to lose and then learn and come back better rather than keeping them unbeaten when they don't deserve it and keep thinking they're fighting the way they need to to win. Then they move up in class and get exposed. It's a BS concept. How many fighters have actually retired unbeaten who were all time greats? A handful in the whole sport's history. This "0" crap needs to go.

Exactly! The history books are filled with fighters who lost a number of fights, some against guys who never made a name for themselves. But Lom is the only two division champ in history with so few fights. Imagine how much better he will be at 15 fights.....he is already fantastic.

As great as Mayweather is, I guarantee he would have lost those two fights in his second fight.

here's a guy from the Floyd Mayweather school of boxing whereby a boxer is not judged by the caliber of his wins but by the absence of losses.

IMO, he will accomplish so much in fewer fights than maybe any other fighter ever has. Eight fights and already fighting elites and making them quit. The kid is unreal.

Salido didn't win that fight, no matter what boxrec says.

His accuracy was terrible and he was barely on his feet in round 12.

People wonder why boxing is falling behind UFC in terms of popularity. They don't have to look very far. In UFC, Lomachenko would get the respect he deserves but so called boxing fans always need to hate.

Salido is a tough customer for any fighter. No shame in losing to him in a second fight.

Well #1 although passed prime Salido is really good.

                  #2, he outweighed him considerably

#3, it was his 2nd pro fight

                  #4, it was close.

                  Nothing to be ashamed of.

Would Floyd beat that version of Salido in his 2nd pro fight? Maybe but I would bet it wouldn't have been easy.

Whats the point of Pac even fighting after he was KO'd by Torrecampo?

News Flash. Fighters learn as their careers progress. Ok Lomachenko had a longer am career and was older than these other guys, but it was also only his 2nd pro fight.
                    I agree, good post bro!

before the fight I was convinced walters would win but loma made me want to follow his next fights...

Thats a bit sad, boxing fans should acknowledge fighters who take risks. He would probably be fighting salido after 30 fights if he was british or american. He took a risk early on and i respect him more than if he waited till he was 35-0 before fighting someone of salido level.
