First off, Salido is no bum.

Second off, not every great fighter wins every fight dude. Lomachenko took an L that night but he has had an incredible run since then. Takes more than an above average champion to do what he's done.

Don't forget that he lost 1 of his 397 amateur fight also. What a bum.

Pacquiao, Armstrong, Arguello and Marquez disagree, any of those fought for a title in their second fight by the way.

Takes too long to let his hands go and is too concerned with his fancy footwork
Thats why he lost to salido

He will never be great cuz he lost to that guy
            Salido out of all people
Obviously a troll thread but I think you're on to something.

Loma will probably excel as a pro because he was baptized by fire early in his career. Salido introduced him to the pro game in a manner that allowed him to learn and grow from his defeat.

Not every great prospect is as fortunate. Lots of talented fighters either step up against the wrong competition too early (Antoine Douglas) or wait too long to really test themselves (Gary Russell Jr). The loss to Salido will probably motivate Loma for his entire career.....

He's on his way to greatness. Dominated Walters, easily outpointed GRJ, 396-1 as an amateur and 2 gold medals. Salido is much better than he record suggests, never got penalized for the numerous low blows and it was Loma's second fight. Was Rafael Marquez not great because he lost to Victor Rabanales in like his first or second fight? Didn't matter at all. In my book, you get more points for biting off a bit more than you can chew instead of playing it safe. Loma's going to be big. Get ready...

If other highly regarded olympians fought salido level opponents in their 2nd fights...they'd have losses too. What do you suppose would have happened if mayweather fought augustus or castillo in his 2nd fight instead of his 24th or 28th?
