I've said this countless times..."Abel Sanchez is a trainer and doesn't negotiate fights" The other head of operations at K2 has aired this out before because he doesn't bite his tongue like Loeffler. So if Abel says 164 that's abel running his mouth to the public and nothing more.

Although Golovkin is the bigger draw than Ward in terms of selling tickets and television ratings, Loeffler explained the terms they would be willing to make the fight for.

“GGG is now clearly the ‘A’ side yet Ward still would want to dictate terms, which makes no sense,” Loeffler said. “GGG would fight Ward on a 50-50 basis, the best 160-pounder versus the best 168-pounder [at] 164 [and] a 50-50 split on all proceeds. But it seems like Ward needs more tuneup fights.”

So when Abel says "164 catchweight for Ward" it means nothing because Abel's the trainer and not the promoter.

But when Loeffler publicly states he received a $10 million offer (which GGG rejected) from Canelo/GBP it means nothing because...well because **** You and I love GGG.

GGG/Abel are so concerned about fighting fair and fighting in the "middle" they require Ward to meet them at 164 with a 50/50 purse split. Okay fine. Ward used to walk around in the 170's when he was fighting at 168 lmao. Keep making excuses, like fighter like fan. Golovkin too big for 154 doe, too small for 168 doe.

Ward was 173 2 weeks before his fight with Smith, he was still able to make 168 lmao.

Ward said in an interview around the paul smith fight that he could barely get near 170 lbs in camp. Ward struggles to cut to what Golovkin weighs at his heaviest.

Not sure how this information is pro-GGG or pro-Ward. It's just information suggesting the fight is unlikely to take place.
