Duran quit in a fight but did that take anything away from his legacy? Everyone knows boxing is a sport and there is a winner and a loser and days are not the same.
Except youre comparing to someone who was an already established champion and Hof, who in their first encounter, Duran kicked the sht out of Sugar Ray. Walters is none of that, and he didnt lost, he quit.

He lost to a better man and lives to fight another day. He has a future in boxing but even if he never fought again he has given some entertaining fights.

I agree I've enjoyed his fights, but this is real bad for him. I rewatched the 7th round and he was looking for a way out of there. Loma was tagging him but in no way did Walters look like he was shaken up. He just flat out called it a day. He lost any ability to intimidate opponents and any aura he may have had. He does live to fight another day tho, and can rebuild...
