Ward had some ring rust, he wasn't ready to fight a fight of that magnitude, probably shoulda fight a Badou Jack or a Jean Pascal to get ready.

They understimated Kova's skills and that's why I wanted them to lose (I'm not a Kova fan).

Ward went from a lay off and a couple of fights vs C fighters to fight a A fighter who happens to be a destroyer who can box.

    Ward will win the rematch.

But he lost that first fight, Kovalev showed more skills, more variety in his punches, he just busted Dre through the whole fight.

Sad for Kovalev because he coulda grab a great win but the judges favoured Ward, decision I disagree with.
Then why did Kovalev outbox him at range?

So how many tune-up fights does a man need to be ready, UFC fighters go 1+ years out sometimes with injuries and return fighting top 10-20 level of opponents yet nobody makes excuses for them.

Under-estimated or just not as good when someone doesn't allow you to clinch away at him and do all the dirty stuff that Ward expects his opponents to allow?
Do you notice Ward always does these type of things when he fights someone good, he did it with Kessler, he did it with Froch and he tried it with Kovalev.

The rematch should be in Russia If Ward wants to make a statement sadly I don't think Ward cares much about anything he is a very crooked type of man who has no sense of sporting integrity because If he did he'd abide by the rules of boxing and not make our sport into a hybrid of boxing/wrestling/sambo/judo.
It's not to say he can't LEGITIMATELY win a rematch but I have my doubts on his ring IQ I think he is vastly overrated and a bully in the ring I don't get where he comes off on calling Kovalev the bully Kovalev prefers to fight clean unlike Ward.

I also seem to remember Hunter saying Sullivan Barrera was a good level of opponent.

        Rule number 2

When you utilize rule number 2 as a method to nullify your opponents attack when you're not hurt, not tired that is against the rules and it's quite bad it shows you have no respect for the sport and the fans and you have 0 sporting integrity.

Rules are rules they're meant to be followed too bad they're not applied to some people like Ward, Hopkins, Wladimir at certain times atleast Wladimir has been docked points for it in the past unlike Ward.

Loma is positioned to be 1# soon, but I still need more. Walters wasn't even game, for whatever reason. Loma has some major skills, and I can see him taking over the 1# spot.

People like to talk resume, but that's deceptive. In modern boxing, the very best often get ducked, so it hard to use resume.

Golovkin is a perfect example of this. He should have wins over Sergei, Cotto, Canelo, Perog, Jacobs, Suanders, to include with the ling list of top ten MW he's beaten. But GGG is so dominant of his opposition that guys like Canelo, Jacobs, want little. Lara talks, but his lack of real push shows he doesn't really fancy it.

Only reason I don't put Loma higher is his experience as a pro is limited, and he has been beat.

So p4p is a mixture of measures.

            P4P
            1# Gonzalez
            2# Kovalev
            3# GGG
            4# Crawford
            5# Loma
            6# Rigo
            7# Ward
            8# Alvarez
            9# Frampton
            10# Yamanaka
How can Lara push when Golovkin and company are dismissive of the fight?!

Kovalev clinched more than ward did...
Yep, especially during the second half of the fight. I don't see how a person can criticize Ward for holding without acknowledging Kov's clinching too.

Well, it's hard to argue against history, facts and proof. The truth is Andre remains undefeated and has an official victory over "the Krusher". While currently, Vasyl Lomachenko and Sergey Kovalev both have at least one of many L's on their record.
