lol why would it be in the UK? Flanagan sells 2000 tickets at best Lomachenko is a freaking phenomenon.

Also, Lomachenko would embarrass him royally. Worse than the axe man.

Rigo is just too small for Loma, they are 2 weight divisions apart at the moment, with Lomalooking to go up yet another weight class.. There was nothing stopping Rigo going to 126 for Loma, but 126 was too big for him, so talks stopped right there.

Rigo can STILL go to 126 and get it on with the likes of Gary Russell, Frampton, Santa Cruz, all great fights for him, but why isn't that happening ? If he's that good at 122, he should look to go dominate the 126 division where there are more sellable options - but ain't happening. Why not ? (122 to 126 is only a 3.3% weight jump, vs 140 to 147 for example which is 5%.

I would love to see Rigo line up all the talent at 126 in a row and do them all - just frustrated that he seems landlocked wherever he is and slowly getting older without furthering his career.

The leading headline looks a bit misleading, the capitalised NOT makes it sound like Loma put his foot down and said 'no effing way'.

That's not the way the interview went. It was more along the lines of 'would you go to the UK to fight Flanagan?', and he responded 'why should I go to the UK ? Why can't he come here ? Boxing central is the US'.

Loma still hasn't cemented his name in the US yet, he needs a few more high profile fights in the US to get that done. If he went off to Europe he would lose a bit of momentum in the US.

And why indeed not have Flanagan in the US ? Because it would be Loma vs who? in the US. But then again if Loma is looking to stay active with 3/4 fights a year, not all his fights can be marquee names, so he could squeeze Flanagan in as a stay-warm fight somewhere along the line.

But Flanagan has to get by Verdejo ? I need to go watch both of them again as I got the feeling Flanagan wasn't at Verdejo's level (I also though Frampton wasn't at Santa Cruz's level - so shows what I know).

          LOL... No.

Soccer is 5th (behind Hockey) as opposed to 2nd or 3rd. Compared to the NFL, NBA, and MLB, no one gives two shits about soccer here. Which is why they hardly even show MLS highlights on ESPN unless it was the playoffs.
