What ****e. Boxing, sure. And the four sports that only they play and then call themselves world champions. But most sports? Bollocks.

Flanagan would do well to pick up a round, by the way.

Will be interesting to see, with all this talk, if Flanagan fights a legit opponent in 2017 or his promoters continue to stick him in with glorified clubfighters and pathetic grandfathers to milk his belt. He could probably earn a nice payday in the US to lose his alphabet belt to Loma or Garcia, but I guess the question is, would it be more money than his promoters can earn from having him fight three nobody opponents like he did in 2016

Lomo's not thinking this through. He'd be an even bigger star fighting in the UK, plenty of Ukrainians would be able to watch him in prime time and probably even make the trip. He could set up shop in the UK market and be able to fight more than 2x a year.

Seems like the plan is for Verdejo to take Flanagan's belt and then Loma and Verdejo to meet in a Top Rank grudge match

He won't be able to avoid Verdejo as Arum holds more sway with the WBO than Warren does

No one is stoping the world from playing other sports. Plus the best baseball and basketball players go to America. Its like soccer best player go to europe. Yes they are world champions because USA wins Gold medals en Basketball 90% of time. Football their is no competiton, so they are world champions. USA brings in the most Gold medals.

Loma brings no money in the usa. He's not a main event fighter

How does Flanagan sell in the UK? If you're selling out 2000 seat bars you really don't have much of a say in where you're fighting

Not very well so far, but Warren will be working with BT Sport next year and that should be a huge boost for his stable, especially the few world titlists
